Got mine today, bought my xoom at verizon earlier this week. So far so good too bad we can't have unlimited 3g on this piece

so basicaly when the announced that those of us who got the verizon with 3g would be first they were pretty much lying since just about every post i've seen on all the forums who that the wifi only versions are getting their push first. Why can't some corporations just tell the truth sometime. Is that too much to ask! !!!,

you missed the point, we were told one thing and are receiving something else, they missrepesented the truth which ends up angering everyone for no reason.

Xoom WiFi-only in eastern PA, got it 12:05am Friday 5/13 (yes, Friday the 13th! Ugh)

In order to receive the update can you just leave it on wi-fi or do you need the data on too to receive the OTA? I have the 3g model

I left mine powered on and plugged in! Make sure it sits plugged in, as the update won't happen if your battery is too low!

Got my verizon Xoom on launch. Unlocked and rooted so no update for me. I got the file to flash but in no rush.

It will happen. I have had my 3G unit from Verizon for three weeks now, and I haven't received the update yet, but I am sure that it will come soon. Until then I continue my search for meaningful apps and ways to use my unit for productive uses.

Geographic location makes no difference as to when you get your update.

I just did a reboot of my VZW 3G Xoom and the update prompt appeared. Everyone should get the push by noon tomorrow at the latest.

I jus manually changed the date on my wi-fi only xoom, bought 2 weeks ago and got the update. I can confirm that my nephew's wi-fi only xoom, which I purchased a week ago just got it as well using the same method.

I just shutdown and restarted my wifi Xoom and the update appeared. Installing now.

lol.. apparently changing dates does work. I changed mine to 16th, forced restarted it (vol up + power) and after reboot went into settings and clicked check updates. Worked like a charm.

Installing now..

3.1 Has Arrived!

I just got my update on my Xoom WiFi at 9:33 P.M. Pacific. I purchased my Xoom at Costco on the release day. It only took about 6 minutes to install.

Got mine, I think everyone is getting the update really soon. Mine is a Wifi and I'm in Mexico... bought mine in Texas just days after wifi launch...
