Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Well now that more of you are receiving you G3's.

Just going by forum posts some are Amazed, Some pleasantly surprised, Some happy but have a niggle, and a couple that just don't like it.

I would fall into the pleasantly surprised as I didn't expect to much and then was taken back by the screen, camera, design and build. I was amazed at the 5.5" screen in this form factor (wow).

I do have slight lag but I will turn that into a positive and I'm sure that will be rectified in an update.

For those of you who were Amazed, pleasantly surprised and happy but have a niggle.

Enjoy what is a very nice Smartphone.

Those that didn't quite get it, or do but still didn't meet their expectations. There are loads of alternatives as you are probably aware. Perhaps the Note 4 may be the phone for you.

But I personally find the G3 a good fit in hand and i am enjoying what it has to offer.

The G3 is not perfect but it is one very well thought out product.

Re: Most seem happy :-)

I like very much. Regarding size, I have a smallish hand and the G3 feels purty big, but that's the fault of my hand not the phone.

Re: Most seem happy :-)

Side by side with the s5, this phone feels smaller even though it's practically the same size. Much easier to hold.

Re: Most seem happy :-)

Just got my G3 yesterday delivered from AT&T. I have a G2 but got a chance to get a free upgrade from work so why not :p.

Haven't had a chance to really play with it or even put my sim in it but first impressions... Love the look of the phone with the metal like finish and clean front and the detail of the sides/edges. Phone feels great in hand and side by side to G2 it's not that much bigger where you feel you went up another size category like I did going from iPhone 4s to N4 to G2. Feels lighter than my G2.

And I had a new in box Galaxy S5 in office this week and have to say I was not impressed with the way it felt in hand, feeling cheaply, kinda dated front, and not liking the back cover.

Screen is beautiful with demo videos showing off the screen capability. Liking the UI of the G3 over my G2. Haven't found it laggy or slower than my G2. But I found my G2 to be slower in UI than my N4 when I got it. Just a difference between clean kitkat and oem I guess.

Looking forward to trying the sd card to hold data. Test out the camera. Hate the massive bloatware from AT&T and will disable those as well as enable ART. I will be curios to see how much battery life I will give up over G2. Can't wait to pair it with a Moto 360 :)

Overall I think it will be a better phone than the G2 and should enjoy it. If I had to pay for the outside from G2 to G3 I probably wouldn't cause I think the G2 rocks and could hold its own easily for another year.

Anybody upgrading from a two year old device will find the G3 a big step up, regardless of the Qhd hurting performance some.

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Up grading from a Razr Maxx and I can't wait to get it.The only thing I think I will miss is the battery life on my Maxx.

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

I'm definitely pleased with the phone so far, though only time will tell if I wind up keeping it. The screen is gorgeous, and I don't hate LG's UI as much as I thought I was going to. The few shots I have taken with the camera have been spectacular by my standards (I know little to nothing about photography). The phone is pretty snappy, though I do notice some "micro lag" as others have called it. I'm sure this would be corrected in forthcoming software updates. I've adjusted to the buttons on the back very quickly, and I don't even give them a second thought now. It already feels natural. As of right now I think I will be keeping the phone, but I'd like another week with it before making that decision.

Dude you're scaring me. You seem uncertain about the G3, i'm thinking of swapping my m8 for one. Then I'll be stuck.

Should I re-think?

Not uncertain by any means, sorry if it came across that way. It's a tremendous phone, I just can't really pass judgment over the course of having it for two days haha. So far I've been very pleased.

It's a phenomenal phone.
I've owned both a Z2 and a M8 in the last 2 or so months, and so far I prefer the G3 hands down. The build is excellent, screen is beautiful, camera is fast and takes nice pics, and the software is light and zippy (using ART).
Give it a shot at a store, but I don't think you'd be disappointed switching from the M8.

I also appreciate what Lg have done with the G3.

Like the Z2 a great level of thought went into it. This is what I like a lot.

Some OEM's rush at it, or atleast that is how it appears.

I wouldn't part with either the G3 or the Z2. I'm more than happy with both :-)

I love it too, I just don't know if I can live with the battery life being on nexus 5 standards, especially when other devices like S5 (my only reference since I owned one) did so well. The anandtech review I think is the most unbiased one

Battery life is fine on mine, not quite on par with my Z2 but its very decent even more when you consider the screen.

I'm very happy with the G3 and who knows with it having a replaceable battery there might be a 3500mah on sale shortly and that would be great :-)

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Only thing I'm not liking so far is is that signal strength is not as good as my One...

Well done Lg

I like to give praise when its due and the G3 deserves some.

Firstly there is quite a few debates, niggles going on. (I have some lag, nothing major, update will fix).

There are overheating questions, why lg didn't limit the screen to 90% as it knocks it down anyway is baffling, but its more of a protection thing so good that its their in some regard.

There are Ui differences, that is more down to carrier than Lg itself I presume? I find the Ui to be nicely designed, no its not perfect but as far as skins go its very decent.

Battery issues, slow charging and or poor performance, I find it to be good, its not mindblowing but considering the screen it serves up nicely.

The build being cheap, no no and no, it feels and looks premium and not plastic creaking rubbish like a well known named brand. I credit lg for this design.

Its not a perfect smartphone but it is one that deserves a well done, as it offers quite a lot and its a joy to use :-)

Well done Lg for the G3.
