The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

That may be to save battery. My note 3 gets really hot when I have a weak 3G signal and try to do anything. Sometimes the weak signal alone is enough to heat up the device. I'd just as soon have no signal as one that burns down my battery like that.

I toggle off data while not in use. I would rather have it than not though

Your solution would be best. I can't do it because I always need to be available by email.

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

well, it's all good to put a side by side but they are two different type screens we are comparing... not identical size or spec screens... so 70% may not be 70% on the other. Can you adjust the brightness on the G3 so it closely matches the G2 in brightness level and then make a comparison.

I actually have both phones too but dont have the time to compare but i may later. to me they are different gen phones so i don't expect them to be identical and there will be pluses and minuses with the newer specs. but on it's own it looks great.

Really close but the G2 is brighter. Not as noticeable in person

Not home at the moment, I'll try later

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the G3, it's very nice. I am giving the G2 it's props though. It was and is a fantastic phone that this years phones are having a hard time beating.

G2, G Pro, Flex and now the G3... LG is moving in the right direction for sure. I like what I see

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Boy, from going from iPhone 1, 3GS, 4S, Nexus 4, G2 and to G3... always the same criticisms front birghtness, to tint, to battery life to, lag compared to the previous or competitor... I use to care like I use to care about every tenth of a second faster another car was compared to my Z06. not as much now :)

It's nice to see the G3 getting more respect and attention though this year compared to last year with the G2.

I'll have to give the new phone some time but I don't see any major issues and it runs smooth and a solid built phone so I think most will be please. I don't care about removeable battery and we may get hit on battery compared to G2 because its not a stacked type battery... that battery would hold 100% overnight like no other and run strong throught the whole day but maybe a 3500mah will be available soon to compensate. And latest gen we will probably get L before the G2 so we'll get updates and patches like we did with the G2 over the past year.

So far I'm looking forward to the G3 for the next year. If it sucks I'll put my sim back in my G2 since part of my upgrade i got from work I keep both phones :)

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Yeah I agree with what you are saying. And I definitely giving G2 props too. The best phone I've had of the list and in general phones just keep getting better.

What I'm really excited for still is the Moto 360 to go with the G3... or G2 :)

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

I would fall into the pleasantly surprised as I didn't expect to much and then was taken back by the screen, camera, design and build. I was amazed at the 5.5" screen in this form factor (wow).

This is exactly how I felt! I'm absolutely happy with this device AND for the price I paid for it.....its a keeper for me!!

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Well now that more of you are receiving you G3's.

Just going by forum posts some are Amazed, Some pleasantly surprised, Some happy but have a niggle, and a couple that just don't like it.

I do have slight lag but I will turn that into a positive and I'm sure that will be rectified in an update.

For those of you who were Amazed, pleasantly surprised and happy but have a niggle.

Enjoy what is a very nice Smartphone.

Those that didn't quite get it, or do but still didn't meet their expectations. There are loads of alternatives as you are probably aware. Perhaps the Note 4 may be the phone for you.

But I personally find the G3 a good fit in hand and i am enjoying what it has to offer.

The G3 is not perfect but it is one very well thought out product.

I think the G3 is a nice phone, just kind of fell at a time where the 801 chip is on its way out and the 805/808/810 is right around the corner so some had high expectations. Hopefully the little bit of lag is fixed with an update and will be interesting to see how LG performs on future updates and timing of updates.

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

I also appreciate what Lg have done with the G3.

Like the Z2 a great level of thought went into it. This is what I like a lot.

Some OEM's rush at it, or atleast that is how it appears.

I wouldn't part with either the G3 or the Z2. I'm more than happy with both :-)

Absolutely agree with you that this is a very well thought out device! Just playing with it and digging through the various settings and features has been a JOY for me! I guess I really have been bored with Samsung's UI.

Then when you buy a device with an 805/808/810, the 810/813/815 chips will be around the corner and so on and so forth lol

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

I am with Verizon. VERY happy with the G2 but a bigger screen for my 66 yr old eyes for $99 and getting good views is impossible to resist. I have ordered my case and holster, they should be here by Thursday when I can pick up my phone.

Yeah Lg have done really well with the G2 and the G3 is another fine example.

I grew tired of Samsung's a while back, the Nexus 5 drew my attention away. They are great at producing smart phones a bit to many IMO and for me when you have this flood the cutting edge slips as does the quality.

The Note line is by far their holy grail and the Note 4 should be great.

But I'm settled with the G3 and the Z2.

Re: Why can't I get the Amazon app on LG G3?

Hi guys noob here just thought I'd share this with you: love my new g3 and was amazed when the Amazon app came up as incompatible. So I went to Amazon, loaded in their app store app, checked the box in the phones settings to allow installs from places other than Google play, and then installed the Amazon app from Amazon's own app store... And it worked a treat.
Hope that helps!

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Loving the phone. Screen size excellent, phone easily handled, 40% brightness more than enough. Can't argue with the price, free. Rooted in minutes. Happy camper me.

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Glad to see so many people enjoying the phone.

Yeah for the most part all seem to be enjoying :-)

I have no issue's a bit of lag but software update will fix. Its not hindering me enough to say its a downfall.

The build & design of the G3 is sublime, I like it a lot.

The screen for me is exceptional and again I like it a lot.

The camera is great and fast autofocus is a huge plus.

The Ui is actually nicely designed, not all will like it, but I do.

Battery life holds up nicely all things considered, and there may be a release of a 3500mah which would really work wonders for the G3.

I appreciate the time that obviously went into it.

Really enjoying :-)

Wow, I guess this means it doesn't give you the message to change install from unknown sources.

That is Amazon shopping, not the Amazon App store.
