I was like some no doubt dubious about the rear button placement.

Thankfully I really like it and actually find it to be a great idea.

This coupled with knock code and knock on/off.

I find them to be 3 really great features and enabled the G3 to be designed the way it has.

Kudos Lg I like it :-)

Re: Just a knock away

The only thing I dislike about the rear buttons are the very few occasions when I want to access the power menu. Aside from that, they're great. Still getting using to fingering my way around back there to press the right buttons.

Another benefit is that between the rear buttons and knock code, you really don't have to worry about nosy people getting into your code.

Much more responsive than the G2's knock feature

You do eventually get used to it and once you do it kinda makes sense.

But this is of course up for debate just because I like it, doesn't mean all will.

Its just become so natural so much so when I pick up the Z2 I'm trying to knock off and then realise it doesn't have that feature (has knock on).

Then volume key are obviously on the side of the Z2.

Yeh I have found it to work effectively, sometimes knock code can be a bit of a second attempt but that could be me and no doubt is rather than the feature itself.

Re: Just a knock away

The button placement is the most natural position...LG are right about this. I find the double tap works well, but also find I absent-mindedly use it on my N5.

Re: Lg G3 vs Sony Xperia Z2

I need your help guys! I am planning on buying either the Z2 or the G3 - looking at the above posts, it looks like the G3 is winning. I need a good camera, I'm currently using the G2, which is why I'm not instantly choosing the G3 - it doesnt look like a massive upgrade from the G2.

Is the Z2's camera bad? or does it just take some tinkering about with to get the right photos? I've had the S5 for about a week and sold it, nothing exciting about the device.

Hey Kevin well I can't put down the G3's Camera over the Z2's.

What I can say is both produce great quality pictures.

The Z2 has more features and even in superior auto it takes great photo's. Has the dedicated shutter button (which I like).

Both are great and whatever one you decide on purchasing you won't be disappointed.

The G3 does have a better in hand feel in terms of comfort. But the Z2 is great and feels really premium.

Good call go in get a feel for them both, but I suspect the G3 will win you over hmm then again lol

Both are great though :-)

Re: Lg G3 vs Sony Xperia Z2

Thanks for the insight. I'm actually returning the G3 and ordered the Z2. Is the phone I always wanted. IR blaster and Qi would had made it prefect. I hope I like it. I hour the pic quality is as good as the Lumia 1520. That phone took pics.

Well you just won't find lag on the Z2 and its ui is stock like and light. The camera is exceptional and has a great feature set.

Honestly though the G3 is great and I'm fortunate to have both.

But perhaps one to many issues were hindering you enjoyment and that's understandable.

It was unfortunate that your G3 was buggy.

Enjoy the Z2 what am I saying of course you will :-)
