The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: G3 6 months in :-)

Is it just me or does anyone notice that the G3 has only been out since July 1st (at the earliest).... So, it has only been 3 months for most people... yet this title says 6 months in? It would have had to be released in April and it was announced then... not released... 0.0

Dude it was released earlier here in the UK can't remember the specific date though.

Roughly mid June I believe so dam close to six months lol

OK so it was released on the 26th of June thus correctly making it almost 4 months at the end of October.

I thought it was early June therefore making it 5 months.

As to where I got 6 months from hmmm a number that was in my head at the time who knows.

My Bad.....

So G3 "Almost" 4 months in....

Up to mods to edit the title that is out with my control...I don't have the authority lol

Re: G3 6 months in :-)

Mods, don't edit the title. We can do all this again when the real six-months mark is reached.☺

Re: G3 6 months in :-)

For the most part how often do you look at the G3 off axis?

Percentage?

I couldn't estimate a percentage, but quite a bit, actually. I frequently set it down on a table and play WWF or another slow-paced game, or skim through web pages, or check notifications, while I'm eating or doing something else. On a Samsung phone, the screen is pretty much as readable that way as straight on. On the G3, it's significantly harder to read that way.

Just read your reply at angle hmm not a preference I must say but can read it just fine lol

Liking the speedy developments with this Rom in less than a few weeks it went from 1.2 to 1.5 and a few nice tweaks indeed.

Re: G3 6 months in :-)

I'm happy with my choice based on the options that were available when I made it. It was basically between the S5, the M8, and the G3, and if I had to make that choice again today, I would still choose the G3.

Re: LG G3 ROM Android Now :-)

that is cool, but I did the same thing by making a tasker profile.

Re: G3 6 months in :-)

Had my G3 for 3 months, with no major regrets. It's a fabulous phone.

I came from Blackberry, and it took a lot of consideration to tear me away after 10 years on the BBOS.

My only minor gripes with the G3 is the battery usage when using a screen intensive app. or game (obvious with the QHD screen, yes, but it does send the battery line almost vertical on occasion), but this is tempered by the amazing usage - or lack of it - when on standby. Also, multi tasking can be hit and miss. Often minimized apps just disappear - they're there, and reappear after a few attempts or a bit of scrolling, but it can be an annoyance.

I love the buttons on the back, the lack of bezel, the user-friendly interface, the feel in the hand, and the Quick Circle case.

If I was choosing now, I wouldn't touch anything without a removable battery - until such a time battery tech. catches up with what it's being used for, I like the security of being able to swap for a full 100% when I need to if I'm ever away from a charger. Having said that, and to be total hypocrite, if I HAD to change, I'd get a Sony Z3 as the solid battery in it is supposed to be amazing, and I like Sony's clean & basic UI.

The battery in that is only a tad larger than the G3's. The screen is smaller and lower res which will take less power. You would be better off with a Droid Turbo, with it's huge battery and updated chipset which is power-saving. The only thing you'll be lacking is a card slot.

No SD. No deal.
