I got about 16 hours yesterday on a full charge with moderate and heavy usage throughout the day

I just opened a ticket with Sprint, full charge this morning with about 15 minutes of phone calls and checked email a few times and I'm at 76%. GPS off, on Wi-Fi, screen is at like 30% brightness, only thing that syncs is my Comcast email.

Screw you people that are getting great battery life, lol. ;)

wait you oped a ticket so if yesterday i gto approx me 6 hours and today fter 3 hours im at 75 percent.. what constitues normal battrty function.. if i get from 6-9 hours, is my battery screwed up and do i change it

and if i bought it from wirefly and battery is not giving me good life, will they just send you a replacement battery or do you have to exchange your whole phone..

Good to know. I have mine on auto and its shows at 83 percent. So switching from auto to something low will really make no difference

EVO - LUTION 3D

lowering the brightness will make your battery last longer but the display will still use 80% or so of the battery. the only way to lower display power consumption is to not turn the screen on while using the phone (streaming music, etc).

I've never really had much problem with battery life even on the first evo. I just make sure I'm signed out of gtalk, use Wifi when possible, and check what's syncing and how often. Display is on auto. I never use application killers... Since before 2.2 anyway. I work in a low signal area but we have wifi which saves the day. Wifi uses far less power than the 3g radio believe it or not... Especially in low signal areas. These phones can get great battery life but they're just kinda quirky sometimes.

Ok guys last night i let the battery drain all the way and i charged the phone on all night , than i disconnected charger and turned phone off and connected charger again and it charged for 40 more minutes even after it was fullay charged when it was on all night.. weird that it would charge for another hour when i turned it off and re connected and after a hour of moderate use.. moderate is 50 percent using it n 50 percent stand by and im at 93 percent now after 1 hr n 10 minutes.... now this juice defender what does it actually do or disable because i love my brightness at at least 50 percent and i like my things auto matically synching every so often.. i did disconeect 4 g when not in use and wifi.. what else can i do and how can i exactly calibrate my battery.. when i got this phone the battery came with 5 percent on it .. and the first few charges werent exactly i let it drain and fully charge
ok charged it at 730 fully and now have talked 1 hr on phone 15 min for synching 20 minutes on fb, downloaded 5 3d pics saw 5 videos on you tube, looked at 10 3d pics, took 1 picture in 3d with camera, restarted the phone, used pandora for 5 minutes and used internet for about 20 minutes and 3 hours of stand by time and its now 100 pm which means im 5 hours n a half in and im at 45 percent battery.. i must admit that today i charged it all night while phone turned on and after i charged it i shut down phone and it allowed me to charge it a extra 50 minutes, sort of like a bump charge.. how am i doing this far is this more or less normal use, i used 4 g for a hour, and i have auto sync on no gps and data enabled on and brightness at about 60 percent

Yes yesterday after light/moderate use I was at 55% @ 21 hours off charger... With light usage im sure I could break 40 hours easy!

I hate you. That is all.

:'(:'(:'(:p

Hey Frosty if you have really tried all this stuff and not getting good battery life then you must have a bad battery but the time you posted the other day was what I would consider pretty darn good... It's pretty much like this, and if it's not then you probable have a problem but more than likely it is a rogue app or gtalk or something like that...

Heavy Use = 5-8 hrs
Moderate Use = 10-15 hrs
Light Use = 20+ hrs

I can't stand waking up the the morning to see my phone is powered down due to lack of battery when it had 40% before bed.

You 100% for sure have a app that is draining your battery (unless by sleep you mean hibernate and you really sleep for 2 days at a time lol) check your uptime vs. awake time in the morning to see if your ohone ever went to sleep...

I think battery life is phenominal on this phone. My Evo wasnt horrible either, but I am beating my GF's rooted/romed/SBC kernaled EVO by leaps and bounds battery wise. And that was with +40% no signal scenario to boot

Now that I've had this phone for 5 days, I'm hugely disappointed in the battery life. My EVO 4g (rooted with Cyanogenmod) lasted at least twice as long and that's after having it for a year. HTC can't unlock this phone fast enough for me. I can't stand waking up the the morning to see my phone is powered down due to lack of battery when it had 40% before bed. Granted, I keep my screen at 100%, but the screen isn't on at night, so that much drain doesn't make sense. I need to get the junk off of this phone and get it running lean like I'm used to. I have it set up nearly identical to how my EVO was (even have sense replaced by ADW).

Check for a rouge app... That is waay too much battery loss while your phone is in idle... Over a 8 hr period for testing while I slept I only lost 9 percent... But I still dont get why people choose not to plug in over night... Takes 2 seconds as long as a phone can get me through the day im good..

So another silly question, does anyone know how many mV the battery should be putting out? I've noticed mine has been fluctuation according to the battery app I have.

Mine seems to max out at I believe 4340ish.... How about you!
