The official I got my Nexus 7 thread XD

Bought one from Gamestop today. No preorder. I will be refusing shipment on the Play Store order.

So far I think it is pretty sweet. It is much better than my wife's kindle.

Google charged me $25.00 for 2 day shipping which there is no other options,i think my total was $236.65.So if i would of preordered from gs i would have already got it and saved $25.00,hmmmm! I bet gamestop starts getting tons of people preordering from them for now on,

Wow that sucks for you as I was charged only $14 for shipping..my total was $283.

I like the people who complain about the "complainers".

And the complainers complaining about the complainers complaining about the complainers complaining. This is getting very meta :)

Ordered the 29th. Google remains silent on status.

Just picked up a 16G Nexus 7 at Sam's Club for $246.

Surprisingly, I got the $25 Play Store credit and the trandsformer movie. I thought those were only going to be for the Play Store Pre-Orders.

Got my Nexus 7 yesterday at Office Depot in Boca Ration, Florida. Didn't do the per order crap, just walk in the store and purchase. So far I have to say this is a stellar device.

So with the "first world problems" aside, Google has to realize that a large number of people who pre-ordered from the Play Store noticed that they could've ordered from Game Stop and gotten it cheaper (no shipping charge). That's bad for Google, as in the future a lot of people will think "well screw supporting Google, I'll get it cheaper and faster from Game Stop"

I'd be happy with either an extra credit in the Google Play or my shipping charge refunded. Google doesn't need to go all out to fix this, but it does need to realize that despite being the "source", it wasn't the best "deal" on the market, and that's terrible for business, brand loyalty, etc.

Dolfan058, I disagree with two points here.

1. I dont think google cares where you buy your N7 (GP or GS). They only care that you bought the thing. A sale is a sale is a sale.

2. Unlike a lot of people here, I dont think Google owes me a refund on the shipping. They shipped the device to my door, I didnt have to take time out of my day and go to a retailer and buy the thing. The shipping charge is a convenience fee, and well worth it for me.

The fact is, when you ordered from the GP store, you agreed to the shipping charge, Google shipped the N7 to you, so I dont see the problem. Of course you could have saved money by going to buy it retail. Its like that with most things you buy.

Got mine, walked into Office depot. And hurried back to work. Took a 15min break and locked up the store. And will refuse my play store order.

Did they have any accessories at office depot?

I bought some yesterday from sam's club and decided to go back to sam's club today to see if they had any left. I now have my second nexus 7 from Sam's club and am going to send the one from GP back when it comes. I was able to get the nexus 7 and the extended warranty for the same price I was charged on GP if you include shipping.

I am very happy to have one for my wife and one for me. The only problem is I have not got much done today.

that:-)

And if I had ordered from GP, it's not the shipping charge that I would have a problem with. It's the fact that I would have taken the time to pre-order and still would not have had the N7 in my hands faster than any yayhoo like me who walked into a retail store and picked one up. All they had to do is ship the consumer pre-orders at the same time the retail supplies went out or before.

I had every intention of waiting till the Nexus 10 hit the shelf before biting the bullet. But I was in Sam's club today and seen the blank display sign that said "out of stock". So I asked the guy working electronics when they would get more in, just making casual conversation while eye balling the 70" TV in the corner. He said they still have one or 2 in the back, and if I want one he will get it for me. So yea I gave into my impulse and picked one up. Honestly I haven't had time to do anything with it but put my Google account information in.

Sorry for the bad pic and mess on my desk but I am reformatting a PC for a customer while posting this from my Xoom.

I did get my 25.00 Google Play credit, but how do I get the Transformers movie for free?

Found it

When you are in the movies section look to the left of the magnifying glass and you will see a frame of film. Click on it and that takes you to your movies where Transformers: Dark of the Moon is. You can play it from there.
