Do you have the Snapdragon edition of the S7 edge?2. Noticing the phone warm up - similar to the Nexus 6 overheating syndrome.
3. Choppy performance. Not buttery smooth as I was hoping it to be with the specs and Marshmallow!

Hi all
I got my TMo S7 Edge yesterday evening. Kudos to TMo in getting it out that fast.
Now I wanted to share a few quick first impressions about the device. I am coming from a Nexus 6, which I decided to replace primarily because I dropped it and broke the screen. I really liked the user experience and the screen real estate. Please note that this is based on about 12 hours with the device. So here we go:
Pros:
1. Solid premium build quality
2. Love the design personally
3. Gorgeous screen
4. Grear camera
Cons:
1. Connectivity issues on WiFi. Have numerous other devices connected to this WiFi and none have the same problems. Websites load super slow and I am not kidding. Even downloading and updating apps from the Play store took numerous attempts as it wouldn't even start the download in time. Frustrating.

I am not sure I like the experience so far. I want to love the hardware but the perisisting WiFi issues plus choppy performance have been concerning.
I am going to give this some more time before I decide to switch.
Cheers!
T-Mobile has the Snapdragon.
Problem is, Snapdragon 820 will in the majority of phones this year. Let's hope that this is not a widespread issue with the S7/Snapdragon.Well, that's extremely disappointing. I'm reading more and more about the lag and heat. Plus, I had first hand experiences with both at Verizon.
Obviously, I'll wait until I have mine and some official reviews are in, but I might be holding onto my Note 5.
Yes, please keep me posted on what you guys observe.
True first time use/setup is a lot going on. But, I am feeling it warm up after that as well.
I am hoping it's just a fault unit that I got?!?! I absolutely love the build and design of this device. The choppiness is not very encouraging. It's more evident when using Chrome and scrolling through the page. Android Central for e.g. is laggy n choppy. Same with The Verge.

Very odd. When I try the same thing on the store demo unit I have here before me it is butter smooth (using Chrome).Yes, please keep me posted on what you guys observe.

@Cakefish - it is?? And you are loading content heavy sites too? I have been trying on and off WiFi, different WiFI, LTE - just does not seem to help as much.
That just sucks! Wondering if I should have just picked up the 6p instead... Darn!
That choppy scrolling will never get fixed. I'd return it. That's a software implementation issue and will be widespread, even though some will doubt it. Google S6 scroll lag. Also, a Reddit user has already posted screenshots of the S7 dropping frames in scrolling....just like the S6 did.
