The official Sprint network speed thread (post your speeds)

Except the deal isn't final yet and your phone doesn't support LTE-TDD when they start converting the towers from wimax to LTE. Next year.

The deal has approval from everyone involved and the government is not going to bother with that one. Any asset gain by sprint is a positive.

Except that Sprint bought Clearwire and those towers are now theirs so I am kinda guessing they will be part of NV

Sprint buys Clearwire for $2.2 billion | ZDNet

Well, now that I think about it, the main point I intended (and failed) to make was that it doesn't matter how close he is to Wimax towers when talking about LTE reception. He could be directly next to a Clearwire Wimax tower but 5 miles from the nearest Sprint LTE tower and have a bad LTE connection.

That said, the deal won't be final for a while regardless of how much resistance they get from the government. Even if the deal were finalized tomorrow, that doesn't magically make those Wimax towers next to his house broadcast LTE. The 2500 MHz rollout that would be on the Clearwire towers isn't even scheduled to begin until second half of next year regardless of how much of Clearwire Sprint owns.

Random mediocre speed test. Turned lte off and put 3g on and got 74, 1.9, and .9.

Not too bad.

First day of LTE coverage in my neighborhood. New Orleans market. Not bad considering the signal strength and the tower hadn't yet been approved for use.

Really hope that it gets better. Hspa+ is better than that.

This tests were made in the car while my friend was driving. I'm pretty happy with my speeds. This is in Puerto Rico. Sprint has improved quite a lot over the past year.

So after 10 Years I switched from Sprint to T-Mobile . And I must say I am truly impressed. Here is the data speed on my nexus 4 hspa+ uploadfromtaptalk1367125460601.jpguploadfromtaptalk1367125472473.jpg

I was getting .02 Mbps on 3g and about 3 Mbps on 4g lte. That is the reason I left sprint. Slow speeds high prices ridiculous 2yr contracts . I am very happy buying my phone full price and having a cheap plan.
