The pre order button is up

Now this next tidbit comes from a post on FB so take it with a half grain of salt...but someone said his customer service rep at his store told him a few stores actually have the Atrix in stock...yet he still pre-ordered his last night so?!?!
 
Ok, for the Premier folks. You'll need to contact Premier support at (866) 499-8008 after 9am EST today. There is no other way around it.

I can back this up. Finally, after 50 minutes of hold time I got a rep that was able to process my order...even though that took an additional 25 minutes.

She tried to tell me that I had to upgrade (downgrade???) to a capped 4G data package. I promptly told her she was working with old information and needed to recheck her information. She came right back on the line to tell me I was correct and I was able to keep my unlimited plan in place.

So, that being said, make sure that you INSIST ON KEEPING YOUR UNLIMITED DATA PLAN (if in fact you want it).
 
Just got back from the store. I had to be the first person in there today asking about the phone, because the person I talked to had to ask the manager if they were taking pre-orders. I ended up having to pay full price for the phone (off contract), and they're letting me keep my unlimited data plan. No bundle for the phone/laptop off contract. They didn't tell me when it would be in, they just said they'd call me when it was. I mentioned the release date to the person and they pretty much said it could be in earlier than the 6th.

No luck here either as a "Premier" customer. Maybe its a sign I should wait to see what will be announced at the MWC Conference tmrw. :cool:
 
i think the reason why you can not order it on the premier website is somthing to do with the 100 off rebate i tried on a diffrent line and the shopping cart came up but that was for a line i have a netbook on. but on my other 2 numbers the shopping cart is blank
 
I'm not too sure about that. I tried it last night on a line that had no data and it showed up in my shopping card as $299 (no discount). That's about the time the website went down for "maintenance."

This whole pre-order deal seems like it was not very well coordinated by AT&T. No one seems to know what's going on. Each person gives a different answer.

I'm just glad I was able to place my order (over the phone with a live person). My credit card has already been charged, so I should be good to go. I didn't expedite shipping...maybe I should have...I'm just such a cheap ass. Oh, I did buy the car dock and the screen protectors too. I wonder if the car dock will delay my order. Dang, should've thought about that.

and I just checked my account and features online and my unlimited data package is set to expire in april and a new, identical plan is expected to go into effect on the same date. if you click on the description of the new package it says

SmartPhone Personal
Data Plan for SmartPhones. Unlimited domestic data usage. Only available for upgrades. Requires customers to be on a "Gold List" SmartPhone Plan prior to upgrade to HSPA+ device.

anyone else seen/noticed this?

I see it now. Mine says the same thing. I assume if you were on an unlimited, you're on the "Gold List." Otherwise I have no idea what that means.

im kinda glad i couldnt pre-order. looks like some crazy phones being announced this week and the Atrix is looking to be out of date out of the door.

I hear what you're saying...but the one you show is a Samsung. It will always be a Samsung. The specs are delicious, but at the end of the day it won't have the build quality of a Motorola or HTC.

Also, if I decided to wait until the next new thing came out before I ordered a phone, I'd never order a new phone. There is always going to be something that is better than the last.

Werd. Plus, I don't see how the Atrix is out of date already. Both have dual core processors and have ample RAM.
The only big differences are if you prefer 4 inch or 4.25inches of screen real estate, and if you prefer fingerprint sensor or not. Sure, the screen might be a difference, but most consumers won't know the real difference besides brightness. And the fact that I would have to wait a couple of months longer for the S 2 just seems silly. Heck, by then, ANOTHER new phone will be out.

People who can't pull the trigger are those that can't commit. Just pick a carrier that works for you the best, pick the phone that suits your needs (or wishlist) the best, and then Boom! Enjoy what you have and don't be envious.
 
Does anyone know if the laptop dock is automatically included? I don't see where I can pre order the laptop!!!

It showed at the very bottom right of my screen, but that was on the Premier website. Not sure if that's the case for everyone.

It is NOT automatically included. You will definitely need to add it to your cart.
 
And just now I got told on the phone they cannot do pre-orders today. They have been instructed to tell customers to try again tomorrow.
This is RIDICULOUS! How is it they can handle iPhone orders which MUST be larger than this and yet they can't get this straight.
THe part that frustrates me the most is apparently some orders are getting in. Why am I a second-class citizen?!?

I kept trying to pre-order till 4 AM PST but couldn't. My case was kind of unique (or at least thats what I thought) I am an existing ATT pre-paid customer, now upgrading to Atrix and also want to use discounts ATT offers to my company employees.

The website kept taking me to Premier Customers page, which had no Atrix. So I searched Atrix on ATT website and tried to pre-order. I wanted to retain my pre-paid number, so I entered it while ordering and it took me to login for pre-paid customers. I logged in there and now I couldn't see my cart/pre-order!

In my single-malt induced state, this was frustrating and hilarious at the same time. I guess I will have to call ATT and start my search for a customer-care representative who can handle this!
