The simple things your Nexus 6P just can't do right? or at all?

Re: The simple things your Nexus 6P just cant do right? or at all?

Keep playing music when I rotate the screen.

If you rotate right, it has to flip the audio channels so there's a slight pause while doing so. Rotating left doesn't cause the brief pause

(oops, if this was already answered, sorry - failed to notice there were 11 pages already)

Damn, you're correct. I guess I never tried flipping it in that direction.

It also makes complete sense; if you are going to flip the left-right audio channels, something's got to drop for a split-second.

Mod Note - Some posts have been cleaned. Let's not turn a thread toxic over petty things .. We are all simply discussing issues and helping each other (if possible) to resolve them :).

Thanks.

Just tested that and it is what's happening, great spot! It does happen both ways though but it is when changing channel.

- Quick reconnection to WiFi networks
- Using headphones with inline controls (can't even use them)
- Amplifying headphones enough to be heard

FWIW, I use these Jaybird | X2 - Bluetooth Headphones Overview and the inline controls work fine and the volume is enough to likely damage my hearing if I were to turn it all the way to max. Don't know if it matters, but my primary music player is PowerAmp.

Are you referring to wired or Bluetooth headphones?

Also if you install the Jays headset control app you can set up your in line controls

1. I haven't found a pair of in ear decent headphone, that pairs good whith the 6P I've used some samsung ones, htc ones and even lg... The pouse/play/skip vol up and down dont work.

2. Split screen or multi window or whatever you call it would have comed in handy whith a great big screen that the Nexus packs

3. Miracasting, or screen miroring does not work whitout chromecast, whitch is a total lie, I used my ex SGS5 no problem, my ex LGG3 did a awesome job at it whit my samsung smarttv, music, movies games internet everiting worked wonderfully, qhith the nexus some YouTube, but not quite.

4. Another downside is probably the best feature of a nexus device, the latest operating sistem, bother producers spent more time tweaking it to work flawlessly, the nexus is also do not forget, permanently testing the newest android version... some google play aps have yet o get optimization, etc

5. The service/repaire policy provided by google and/or huawei is notoriously bad, overpriced and sometimes imposible to get. A good example was the shattering lens protector thinggy ...glass (many said its a design defect although I like it, but is incredible fragile), first they refused to acnolage the problem, second they refused to warranty it, a cheap small piece of glass was for some time 50$ for just the part + labor, so yeah it cant be repaired in a decent profesinal way.

It was 2015 best all-round device and still the best option on the market, but its far from perfect, some downside of it only became noticeble over time, expecialy if you needed service or repairs (the whole affair just makes you think of those things for your next device) so yeah take care and be carefull whith your nexus, maybe put some protection and/or some insurance on it. It will come in handy if you ever need it...belive me.

Once again, these are excellent with great sound quality, phenomenal play and standby battery life, and yes, all the buttons work as they should. I use them 5 mornings a week for 90 minutes at a time; I would know if they did not work.

They can be found for quite a bit lower cost on Amazon.

I will try the Jaybird | X2 - Bluetooth Headphones as soon as I get my hands on them, thanks for the tip

6. staying and going back on 4G network connection, you know when it drops from 4G to H and forgetting (that its 2015 not 2005) and go up again ( i know the solution is simple, but it is still annoying)

7. the price difference between countries it costs 449 $ in the U.S.A and 449 £ in U.K ( witch is 649 $ ) and 649 € in France and Germany (witch is 734$)( its strange because France Germany and U.K are members in the E.U, its like new york and los angeles having diferent prices) all for the same "made in china" device, so yeah my nexus cant have a relative equal price around the world, it makes the sale of a old nexus a dilema... just think about this in 2016 lets say may a french person will sell his second hand nexus 6p for half of what he paid for it, 367 $ and probably the price in the U.S.A for a brand new nexus 6p device will be 350$

Trying to get Google Voice to work on Verizon. I want visual voicemail darn it! I uninstalled and reset it up through the website, so we will see if it works. I hate calling for voicemail haha. 1st world problems.

I'm talking about wired headphones with controls in the cables - anything bluetooth with player controls works perfectly

Re: The simple things your Nexus 6P just cant do right? or at all?

The nexus 6 doesn't do that out of the box either. But there are any number of launchers that will.

So since owning there is a good amount of features your Nexus probably cant do or your previous handset could do. Now these things arent exactly rocket science or probably hard to implement but, im going to list a few.

-Extracting a piece of text from a text message
-Sending picture messages without sending them back to me
-Seeing all of your photo albums in a number of apps
-Cant update android hardware outside of an encryption
-Close all background apps.

What are your bugs?

- not being able to see all of your photo albums in a number of apps
- keeping lost LTE connection to H

Yes!

Agreed on all performance stats!

I have the wireless Bluetooth Jaybird Bluebuds and use them with compliance foam ear cushions. I use them for about 90 minutes each day at the gym as well.... The battery lasts more than a week....
