Ok so my wife destroyed her Evo the other day getting out of her car, she forgot it was setting on her lap. Sprint uses a 3rd party insurance company, I called the Sprint Store and got the number. The whole process went smooth considering the trauma she was in, LOL. She told them what happened and they emailed a form that she filled out and faxed back. They called her back within 12 hours and said that her new phone was on the way and that once she received it, she had 10 days to send the damaged phone back to them. They then notified her that she only had to send the phone, and that she could KEEP THE BATTERY AND ANY CABLES THAT CAME WITH THE BROKEN EVO. So there is NO NEED to lie and tell the insurance company that it fell in the lake. If you claim on your phone, you can keep all your cables and your battery. The replacement fee for the EVO was 100.00 which she paid over the phone. So basically she paid 100 dollars for an OAM cable and battery. Anyways just wanted to share the experience for all those that may have to claim on there EVO. Also the sprint store said that
they have seen several broken screens already:)

Also just wanted to say that I LOVE THE EVO AND I HAVE NO BATTERY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER! :p

What did her face look like after you were done with her? I'm kidding! No seriously, did you punch her?

LOL, i told her that i was going to beat her when i got home. LOL It still works she called me from it to tell me it was broken.

by the way i just wanted to say that i took that picture with my EVO. Awesome camera i think.

Yep, it takes great daytime outdoors photos. Where it fails miserably is at night or low lighting, but that's pretty typical for cellphone cameras.

That picture is just painful to look at. Interesting that the phone still worked though!

What worries me is how hard did it fall to get that amount of spider webbing. I hope this thing can at least take some sort of a fall.

Yikes....

They should use the unbreakable awesome glass that Apple used in the iphone 4…oh wait...

And the great thing about the iphone 4.....not only do you have glass to smash in the front, but also on the back!

I'm with pwnst... maybe you did not mean the joke that way, but it does not come off great online.

Anyway, glad you got her Eco back.
Also, how much did the second Evo cost in the first place? I'm looking at upgrading for the rest of the family.
