There's a storm brewing...

Meh I'm not to thrilled about it. Smaller screen, no LTE, no kickstand, less memory. Thunderbolt is the flagship device here.

Are you talking RAM or storage? I believe it has the same RAM. As far as internal storage- I can't even fill the 8GB on board the Inc as it is.

To me the Kickstand and LTE isn't much of a super big deal (I'm on wifi all the time anyway and pull 1.5mb on 3G, but if Netflix comes to the Bolt then LTE will be a HUGE deal for me). And the Inc S has a 4in screen now.

If the Bolt is coming out significantly later than the S I'll have no issues getting the S.

I can understand that, but the Dinc2 hasn't even past the fcc yet. Thunderbolt was promised Q1 so I'm pretty sure we'll get it by the 17th.

I'm almost thinking of calling in the day i hear the bolt is out, buying the phone, and coming home and drinking to celebrate! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO.

Cheers to that my friend! I'll take some pics of the bolt when I get it and Upload them. Most likely take them with my new Xoom :P

I agree. The only way the Dinc2 will be out before the Bolt is if they completely scratch the device or have to do a massive overhaul to fix some issues.
It just makes me feel secure knowing I have a backup plan. I'm just not too excited about the Bionic right now.

I don't even have to call in. Since I work nights, I can pick it up in the morning, go home, drink, sleep and wake up sober to go to work. WOOT! WOOT!!!

this is kinda neat. the last pic of my previous phone, was a pic of the new phone i bought. Im thinking of turning my current phone, after i get the bolt, into a mp3 player only phone.

just a quick question guys/gals, what do u think about the htc incredible s/2? do u think its the same as the thunderbolt? better? not as good?

If this comes out weeks after the thunderbolt, I may have to compare the two. LTE is nice, but not a rquirement for me. If the Inc2 has all the other features, it's the other option on my list.

The thing that makes the thunderbolt highly desirable for me is the fact that it is an LTE phone. The new incredible is supposed to be simply a 3G device. This makes me completely uninterested in buying one.

Agreed. The Incredible S will probably be a fine device for right now, particularly if you live in a non-LTE area, but would you want to be using it in 18 months when LTE blankets most of the nation? I can't imagine going with a contract longer than 1 year on a non-LTE device no matter where you live.

Agreed. If (emphasis on the word "if") you're going to be paying the same price for 4g as you will for 3g, why would you choose the 3g device when they're almost the exact same device, with the exception of the the Inc S having a smaller screen?

Edit: I forgot to add that you'll also have to wait another 2 months for it. I just don't understand why anyone would choose the Inc S over the Bolt if they initially offer 4g for the same price.

Morning all!

So excited between the HTC news and the confirm from Bennnn. Happy birthday to me Thursday :)

They would almost have to be shipping already if they were going to release it this week, for stores to have them by tuesday or Wednesday.
