There's a storm brewing...

Is it just me or does it feel like as if HTC was eager to throw a teaser announcement out as soon as the day (Friday) was over, leading my brain to work overtime and wonder if there was some sort of gag order from VZW to not let any announcement out until the launch of iPad2?

Also the HTC rep's short-lived tweet and HTC's official FB post + tweet came within 12 hours of each other. Is it some sort of damage control or soon is really very soon?

Points to ponder.

I would think that the decision has already been made as to release this week or not, so if today and tomorrow pass and Ben says nothing has change then I couldn't see it not being hearing Thursday.

Yeah it did seem a little weird that htc posted that late at night, I think it was after midnight when that was posted

It was after midnight. At least here in the east. Which leads to my speculations.

I see. I would think HTC is more than eager to get the ball rolling since VZW has done little in the way of promotions. HTC wants to make some $$ and I'm positive they want to sell more than one initial shipment. Hopefully, this is their way of giving us the info before VZW steps up.

I'm just happy that my iPad 2 can take my attention off of this for a week. Waiting has been painful to say the least. We'll reach the promised land soon.

Which prolly means HTC is confident about their phones but VZW is not about their LTE network.

I've used the LTE with a 4G card. The 4G is amazing...if they're having issues with the hand off they could have just made a 4G on/off widget. Since I'm exclusively in a 4G network, it's my 4G and I want it now!

Just out of curiosity, why the fruit over the Xoom?

Can't blame him. Honeycomb is buggy and even sometimes sluggish on my Xoom. Also, not enough apps yet.

We'll have to wait for 3.1 before we can judge if Android tablets can stay up to par with the oversized iPod Touch.

As a teacher I'm constantly yelling at students to put away their phones. Then, my new rule was, if I see them out, I'm going to play with them. Well, I've played with just about every phone on every carrier. Once upon a time, I thought the *phone was the way to go because the only phone I had played with with Android was an OG Droid which was sluggish to say the least. Then, I got my hands on an EVO...needless to say, the Android OS and that phone convinced me that if you want a phone, why buy fruit?

I have still yet to play with an Android tab other than my Nook Color...and I want to root it sooooooo bad, but I'm almost afraid of screwing it up. :(

Fluidity, had the original and have a lot of paid for apps already, and I just like it.

Trust me, when I got the first one i caught a lot of crap for it from my friends given my fruitphone hatred.

I know it is odd given the android phone obsession we share, but I just need a reliable browser and some apps. Plus I work for Target, so with employee discount and our Redcard 5% off, I got it for a great price.

That all makes sense. Someone else also gave some info that Honeycomb was a bit laggy. The iPod touch and iPad are great devices and all, but I must revert to my previous post when it comes to fruit and phones. lol
