Things you don't like about LGV10? :(

Ok here is a screenshot

You need to charge to 100% so that the battery stats reset and then post when it runs down to about 50%. Your screen shot is at 100% so it's not telling us anything.

Also, post as much detail as you can, like this:

I was using the camera and video reasonably heavy last night and noticed a few things I didn't like. When taking pictures your subject pretty much has to be perfectly still. Any movement at all leads to blur (wiggly kids). I tried going to manual mode and increasing the shutter speed and ISO, but the results were mediocre. On my old HTC One m7 I was able to use the Zoe feature to be able to get still images when there was a little bit of movement on the subject. I also could not figure out how to capture a still within a video. Again on my old phone when I play a video they had a camera button that you can just tap to take a still. You would think that if you pause a video, there would be an option to capture the still. When viewing my videos in a dark car, the videos kept getting extremely dark almost to the point of being unviewable. Even if I unchecked auto brightness and cranked up the brightness, once the video started playing it would automatically go dark. That was extremely annoying.

I discovered that when using the stock video player, the brightness can be adjusted specifically while using the player, regardless of the auto brightness setting. Slide your finger up and down on the right or left side of the screen to adjust the volume or brightness.

4 No led notification
Uh oh! That could be a deal breaker with me as I'm deaf and rely on vibration and LED text notifications.
Might have to stay with Note 4 as it has those.
BUT... can the "always on second screen" have text notification on it? That might work instead of a LED?

The second screen configuration can be accessed through some hidden menus. You will find the thread in this list, look for "confgerable" 😁

DynamicNotifications may help some as well. The flash is configurable through the accessibility settings as a notification as well, but not the same usefulness as the led.

Ok tourbound129, I am a bit new @ all this screen shotting stuff and stats, etc, but I will do as you have recommended and post those stats @ 50%

Some things that I don't like so far after about 1 month of usage..

1. The V10 often falls out of my pocket if wearing any kind of loose workout shorts. Its fallen out in the car and on to concrete, tile, etc.. Its just so freakin big!! but so far no damage.
2. The Auto mode on the camera is too much AUTO. I wish I could change some basic parameters in AUTO mode like focus modes (macro, hyperfocal, infinity, etc..) Advanced settings should contain ISO, shutter speed, manual focus.. etc.. Also missing Sharpness and saturation options.
3. The vibration strength is weak. Often i dont even feel it going off when in my pocket, and i have tweak all the settings already.
4. Phone is slow to wake up sometimes when taking it out of my pocket..
5. Bluetooth range is very weak compared to my old Nokia 808.

Thats it for now.. :)

In love with this phone.. Has all the must haves.. Removable battery, SD card, great camera, and great audio.. The rest you can change.. Don't like the LG interface throw google, nova, or action launcher on it. Want wireless charging? I can add that too. Fingerprint scanner recalibrated after I put on case and now works pretty good, too big?? One handed mode works great when I need it.. What else could I need. I am in love.. They gave me everything I asked for..

The screen is soooo dim, I can see my Reflection the entire time im on the phone. You can turn the brightness up when you take it out of battery saver mode though the battery is gone in no time at all.
The keyboard is awful in trying to keep up with my typing.
Its is so glitchy, it won't come out of chargemode once it's fully charged which keeps you from doing certain things with the phone.
Therearegaps all-around the phone where dust and little hairs and such from your pockets get stuck into.
Have I mentioned how ridiculously dim the screen is??? The vibration is so weak I haven't felt it go off in my pocket once yet. I have had this phone for one day and am going back to my old galaxy note 3 cause it is so much better than this phone.

Have you adjusted the brightness? I've never had a dim screen issue.

Maybe you forgot to turn the screen on. Try pushing the button or double tapping the screen

Yes, as I put in the comment, I can turn the brightness up but the battery goes soooooo fast then. This phone turned all the way up is like having my Samsung 30% turned up on screen brightness.

While the performance of the device shouldn't worry people interested in the device, having the Note 5 has spoiled me somewhat.. Generally animations seem to open and close smoother on the note. I do notice some hesitation in opening apps from time to time. This is my biggest gripe. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get my Note to slip up.

Highly graphic intensive games can hiccup ever so slightly which kinda bothers me.. Not that I use it to play intensive gaming but I like it to perform a little better for the future proofing of the device.

Battery life seems to be a little better on the Note.

The Note produced better point and shoot photos

Samsung has better widget integration

Can't use knock code with android pay.. This wasn't an issue with the Note being the fps was on the front

Overall the V10 is a fantastic phone but I do miss my Note, I've been using the same Nova prime back up for years and it makes small stutters more noticeable

Another update and found out fault. The charging of the phone takes longer than the battery lasts. My phone has went from 50% at about 0900 to now 75% at 1139. It estimatesmy remaining charge time at over 1 and a half hours now. So disappointed in this phone.

Sorry you are having bad luck... My v10 charges full in about a hour and I'm getting 4-5 hours sot time

Several people have noted better battery life on the Note 5 than the V10. I had the Note 5 for several months and have the S6 Edge+ and cannot get battery life anywhere near what I get on the V10. They are set up the same way and used the same way and I get several more hours out of the V10. If I had better battery life on the S6 Edge+ I would choose it. Having said that, the V10 is a great device.

Do you have a Qualcomm 2.0 quick charger?

You almost certainly have a rogue app that is killing battery life and slowing the charging as well. If you would like help figuring it out, post some screen shots of battery usage.

Here's what that should look like (and by the way, as you can see, this phone can have amazing battery life).

Kris Lamb ... take the phone back and exchange for a new one. Charge it fully before activating.

Your experience will change completely and you'll see why the rest of us are so happy.
