Things You Don't Like About The 6P?

Things I dont like about the 6P (having just bought one and then returned it 10 days later):

1. No wireless charging
2. No sd card slot
3. Doesn't sit nicely in the hand, too hard & angular(much better once it had a Nilkin case on it).
4. Headphone socket would appear to not conform to normal android specs. (many headsets/headphones dont work or the controls don't work even when they're specifically for android) e.g. Xiaomi Piston 2's
5. Dodgy biuld quality, one of the reasons mine went back was phantom touch issues on the display.
6. Rip off pricing in many countries outside of the U.S.

other than the feel in your hand, wonder why you got it in the first place when you were obviously aware of the features it lacked as well as the price. and the build quality is as premium as you'll find, but hey, that's the beauty of choice.

Button placement. I guess don’t mind that the volume rocker and the power button are all on one side. But move them up higher towards the top. Having them so close towards the middle makes it too easy to accidentally press them when just gripping the phone. It also interferes with a lot of car mounts since a lot of them tend to grip the phone in the middle.

Slippery. Enough said.

I got it because because I got a massive staff discount, which I'm aware undermines one of my points but it still stands for other customers not so lucky. Therefore with that discount I was willing to give the phone a go and see if I could live with the other short comings and I wasn't aware of the headphone issue either.

Either way it's still a very good phone and at U.S. pricing it's a complete no brainer, it just makes less sense elsewhere in the world.

what phone are you currently using?

My only dislikes are size (a shade smaller would be more far comfortable to hold and use) and the AMOLED screen. At least there's an option to turn the oversaturated color off, but I'd still prefer an IPS screen.

Otherwise I love this phone!

Audio quality could be better...
Not all metal body design as advertised.

1. Lack of Wireless Charging
2. Turning off Miracast and requiring build.prop edit (which still has issues when using apps)
3. USB-C not being 3.0
4. Size (I know I knew the size when I purchased but a 6p spec sheet in a 5x form factor would have been my choice)

ipad mini cellular is what you really want or any android mini tablet with cellular capabilities ipad just poped in my head first

Except for the glass, what part isn't metal?

The bottom plastic insert and the top one behind the visor glass. Furthermore, once you remove these, the actual screws that attach the case go from plastic to plastic. No metal attachments. The actual frame has plastic on top and bottom where the screws are. So I think those antenna lines you see are purely cosmetic.

You don't remove the plastic insert you know that right? If the phone was all metal then you would be complaining about poor cellular reception. I think Google and Huawei know what they are doing when they designed the phone, as much as I want to believe someone on the internet.

Hate:
1. Gigantic bezels on the top and bottom add more than 1.25" to the height of the phone.
2. No OIS (optical image stabilization)
3. Volume and power buttons too close - maybe put volume buttons on the left side of the phone?

Would have been nice:
1. a larger battery or better yet a removeable battery or even better a hot-swappable battery.
4. IR Blaster - there are dongles that provide this, but it would have been better if it were built-in.
5. MST - Being able to use your phone to pay anywhere you can use a magnetic stripe credit card would have been awesome.
6. USB 3.0
7. 6-inch screen

I wish it were a bit smaller (Droid Turbo 2 size would be perfect), had a removable battery (I can live without it, but it'd be nice), and I think the camera "visor" is Fugly (luckily that can be fixed with a skin or case), but that's me nitpicking. The one glaring omission that kept me from getting the 6P is the lack of an SD card slot. I carry a lot of media on me at all times, and I REFUSE to use stupid data-dependent, vulnerable-to-hackers, low-privacy cloud storage. I understand there's some sort of incompatibility between the latest type of memory and SD cards and I hope that gets fixed soon, but I don't see Google implementing an SD slot in any more future Nexuses. Otherwise, the 6P would literally be my perfect phone...

If you can't remove it, then you can't service the phone. They are there to remove the plates so you can access the screws. I do wish they would not have made the entire top plate out of glass, but I still love this phone!

Also the wallpaper is not centered. Instead it's the left-sided.

Google Nexus 6P

because u dont have the same number of screens to the left and right of your home screen. if u have google now on left and two screens to the right, this happens... u will get same problem even with custom launchers, so always make sure the home screen is dead center of the others

The phone isn't designed to be serviced by the user, hence the sealed back plate. Certain circumstances may call for someone to open the back, however that will probably void any warranty that was on the phone. That's why Google is very lenient with the RMA's and has a decent basic warranty.
