Things you DONT like about the HTC One?

The recessed buttons. The power/IR blaster/wake button is kind of a pain to locate quick, especially since I access my phone constantly during the course of the day. The volume buttons, I don't have an easy time finding them during a call at all. In all, I will live with them, I am loving this phone so far.

Actually, picasa is better because for g+ (unless instant upload) you have to share something to get it in the pictures. Picasa you can send it and choose an album. Don't have to share.

And it is then available to g+

Just wanted to quickly say to the op and everyone participating in this thread that I think this is a really great thread. I think there's a lot of value in this thread for current owners and even more for potential owners. Keep up the honest feedback guys.

Thanks

One thing I didn't think I would hate as much as I do is the app drawer and shortcuts.. it's not so big of a deal now but when first getting your phone and putting apps on your home screen it really does suck to grab an app, drag it up, and then drag it to the screen. As I said it's not a big deal now because apps just go in my drawer now which I need to start customizing

Let's see here...

- It gets extremely hot (not just warm) while doing the most menial things. Locally stored music playing through an aux cable, using Bluetooth in the car, etc. Wouldn't want to even try using Bluetooth and GPS at the same time for fear of combustion.

- Screen sits out just enough for me to clip it with my finger or nail just below the top speaker grill. Seems to be a lot of design issues like this with gaps.

- The button placement forces two handed use a lot and seemingly is hit or miss on when they illuminate. Plus they can be missed fairly easily so the press isn't registered.

- No menu button means you lose screen real estate on most apps, including the Android Central one I'm using to type this. Feels like I'm looking at an iPhone 5.

- The chamfered edges are gorgeous, but it can make the phone uncomfortable to hold. When attempting one handed use in portrait mode, it digs into my pinky. Not a huge deal, but its less comfortable than other phones including HTCs own DNA.

- The camera looks great, but you can find its weakness the second you use an image for anything else other than social media. The limits of a 4MP camera, I guess.

- Sense 5 looks great, but the app drawer is different for the sake of being different. It wears on me after awhile with the stop/start scrolling. The app dock can't be changed unless you're in the app drawer which seems like it was just thrown in at the end for no reason.

- If you're going to make UI changes, add the battery percentage option. No idea why only Apple and Samsung do this.

- 4.1.2 was outdated before this even came out and 4.2 has been out for months. Not sure why this released with that version.

I'd say that's all I can think of off the top of my head. After using it for a week these things became a lot more apparent.

Agree with pretty much everything said here, though I haven't had issues with the phone getting very hot. The button illumination issue is very annoying.

Also, the edges of mine have accumulated a few nicks. I don't use a case, but the phone has only been 3 places: in my hand, in my pants pockets (with nothing else), or on my nightstand. Not sure how it has happened, but the edges do seem to nick very easily.

Overall, still loving the phone.

I am annoyed with WhatsApp saving each and every image to the Gallery. I had two images that I received from someone which got saved in my Gallery (WhatsApp folder). When I sent these images to a couple of other people. I had like 3 copies of each image in my gallery (WhatsApp folder). Is this a problem with how WhatsApp does things on Android, or is it just a setting that I'm missing?

Thanks

The vibrating motor is too strong. I fell asleep with it in my pocket and got an email and woke up thinking my d!ck was having a stroke.

Haha. Try having it on your bed near your head and forgetting to turn the sound on! I damn near jumped across the room.

I do wish the motor was as tight as the one on the DNA. The ones is a bit...violent. It's a small niggle though, and definitely not a defect.

Battery! I have no clue how people are getting good time from their battery. I keep mine on airplane mode during the day while I am working and I still can't make it through the day. Today for example I lost 20% of the battery while it was on standby. Everything else I love on the phone, but I find myself just using my iPad at home because my phone will die on me if I use it.

I missed Note 2's amazing battery life but this last me 12 hour shift so I'm happy.

I love it but certain places I feel like I'm on dial-up. I'm on LTE.

If you lost 20% on standby you have a problem. That is absolutely not normal. What is using your battery? Have you installed gSam or other battery monitoring app to find out?

Every time I use sequence shot the pictures are blotchy and aren't seamless? Help.
Also, object removal doesn't recognize things I'd want removed?

That's odd. I had the phone On, connected to Tmo, and on WiFi for like 19 hours (on standby), fiddling around for 5 mins in between, and I think I lost lost like 9% battery overall.

You must be having some app running in the background, or maybe some app using the GPS all the time.

One thing I was disappointed with is the fact that Google Wallet doesn't work on this phone. You would think on a flagship device Google would want that up and running.

Well lo and behold, I opened GW today, and it allowed me to set it up! This appears to be working now!

I just installed wakelock and I have used juice defender as well, but was told these apps are great but will also drain the battery. I just checked my batteries usage and it only gave me a few apps that have been using battery and they only added to be 10% of the usage. Where is the other 20% going??
