I miss my Note, the amoled display, and the curved edges.

Am I out of my mind thinking about trading in a week old phone for some that came out Spring 2016???

Just list what you like of the V20 and would be missing on the S7 Edge. I would still go back, even after a week of using the V20, especially if the blue S7 Edge comes out soon. The only thing that's keeping me from returning it is that the S7 Edge is 32GB. If they had a 64GB version, I'd go back in a heartbeat, even if for a couple months until the S8 comes along.

I like a lot about the V20, but I don't love it (just like I couldn't love the G4 over the Note 4). The only thing that it has over the Samsung ones is that this thing is zippy. And that DAC really does make a difference with headphones. But everything else, I still miss the S7 Edge and Note 7.

I'd stick with it. I'm coming from a long line of AMOLED phones myself, but the display will grow on you. I mentioned in another thread that you can also change the settings to more closely resemble AMOLED by selecting comfort view>low. It definitely reduces the "blueness" of the LCD panel, and I like that LG included that feature. It's also much more visible to me outdoors in direct sunlight which I like quite a bit.

You'd also be downgrading to Marshmallow as this is the only phone other than the Pixels with Nougat. How timely the updates will be is anyone's guess but for now you know you've at least got Nougat on board.

If you really can't stand it, just try your best to hold out until the S8 arrives around March haha. Just my two cents.

I've only had my V20 for three days now the battery is much better than on my S6 edge plus I do miss the edge screen though. So far i'm happy with it though LG tells me my IMEI numbers are invalid and they have not yet answered my emails so I take it that they are not reliable on the customer service end. where as Samsung was. when I called them about an issue so with that in mind I'll see how it goes I have 11 days left before I can return it but one this is for sure I will get a note 8 when it comes out. I don't think that LG has good service reps and to me that says a lot about both there products and who they are as a company. the V20 is build well no issues there or with the phones performance I'm just thinking down the road if there are any issues LG will be very slow to respond and that's even if they do.

Thanks all - heading to ATT after work to return a $60 case that wifey bought - she's cut off now, lol.

I will compare the two there. Ugh... I'm a mess... I know. It's amazing how much our phones are part of "us" nowadays.

I hate the curved edges

I dislike the curve. Especially the more pronounced one on the 7E. Makes the actual legible surface 5.2". Prefer my Note 4 any day and has same storage space.

I will test the V20 out for a week and see if prefer over my Note 4. Well, whenever BB ever gets the Verizon version..... Want that $200 credit that is $0 from Verizon for same device.

After wanting the V20 last week when it released but wasn't in stock at my local Best Buy where I bought my Note 7 and wanted to exchange it for a V20 on the 28th. Well no dice BB never got them in stock so I went with an S7 Edge. Missing my Note 7 I realized I would miss the wireless charging and water resistance too much along with the amoled display to finally make the switch this week to the V20 with my carrier. Keeping my S7 edge till to see what the S8 brings to the table in March with some sort of discount from Samsung they promised us loyal customers by staying with Sammy. On the other hand I do feel like I'm missing out on the latest greatest android has to offer at the moment even though it will be short lived.

Go with what works for you. If the S7 Edge has the features you want then that should be a done deal. No reason to stick with a phone that doesn't suite your needs.

I can only speak for how my wife feels going from the N7 to the S7E. She hates it. XD

She said it's been lagging on her a lot, and the curved edge is so much more pronounced that it's more of a hindrance than anything because of screen distortion and her palm causing miss taps.

I looked at the s7e when it 1st came out haven't given it a second thought since

Your reasons to prefer s7e are valid. You should do it.

I hate the curves so v20 better for me

One word: blasphemy 😋

I sent mine packing today. My only gripe was the loud speaker popping on videos. Kept clipping all the time. I'll probably get the Pixel XL since VZW has the $200 promo for it.

The v20 didn't ruin my S7E experience, the Note 7 did. That phone was awesome. I had the S7E for almost 3 weeks but it felt like I was downgraded from the N7. The v20 isn't perfect in all areas but it helped me forget about the Samsung debacle.

I wasn't a fan of the curved edges either. I went to look at the s7 edges right after they came out and said "no thanks". I waited for the Note 7 but went with the s7 edge after second recall. Couldn't like it. Curved edges made the screen too small plus I hated the long and thin look if it. I'm loving the V20.
