I just got a moto x style last week and although I love almost everything about the device it isn't the smoothest if I'm being honest, and with recent Motorola update story's can they be trusted under lenovo? Anyway the nexus 6 is a really good price and I like the size and stock android but is it a lottery with what screen I'll end up with, will the whites be to yellow, will there be screen uniform issues? Where these issues in earlier builds or just the nature of the amoled panel Motorola where supplied?

I bought my 6 in June and have had no issues whatsoever. As far as the screen tones go, I think that's subjective. What looks fine to me may look too yellow or blue to somebody else.

I don't know much about the moto X, but as long as you are comfortable with the size of the N6 I think you'll be happy with it.

Most of what is 'common knowledge' about the Nexus 6's screen would make good fertilizer. Google picked a warm color point to calibrate the Nexus 6.. so the whites might take on a bit of a yellowish pall if you view them next to a neutral phone or especially one with a cooler bias. But if you aren't holding it side by side with such a phone, you won't notice it at all.. unless you are one of those obessive types who stay up at night worrying about your phone's gamma.

But I also have a custom kernel with color controls, so I can adjust the calibration as I see fit any time I want.... its just a software setting and not a problem with the quality of the display.

No problems here except for a Google services battery drain bug lol. I think marshmallow will fix it if not factory reset here I come.
