You answered your own question. Verizon sales people will try to sell you one. Their job is to sell stuff so they can make money. If they thought that you would do it, they would probably try to sell you 5 or 6 additional chargers. If the ones you have work, don't buy a new one. If the ones you have don't work, don't buy one from Verizon, you can get them cheaper at other places.

Exactly. I have 2 of those USB AC Adapters that accept USB Cables for charging, and the Car Charger I have has 2 USB ports on it for plugging in 'whatever' to charge it.
I keep a cable like this in my basement where i'm at now, so I can have a nice long (and cheap!) cable laying around if I didn't want to be tied 3-6 feet from the outlet or my laptop while charging my phone. Doesn't happen often, but its nice to have a 15' cable sometimes.

and while i am prob 90 percent sure i am getting Bionic, i am still looking around and checking out of there is a better option.
Anyone know of a Bionic equivalent coming to AT&T? Is the Photon a Bionic twin on Sprint? My boss has a Photon and it sure is sweet.
Motorola codename "Dinara". It is supposed to be even a step up from the Bionic. You should be able to Google it and get a little info. I don't know when it will release though.

This. In a non flame-warry or trollish way, I'd like to know the advantages over the SGS II as it is the other phone on my wish list and I have yet to use one. I'd definitely value your input on both.
The SGS2 isn't available in the U.S. yet, and it won't be available on Verizon at all, so it would be kinda hard to do an accurate comparison
If folks wanted an SGSII bad enough, they could have imported it and activated it on AT&T. So it's possible, although unlikely.
And people who post random benchmarks from multiple different sites need to keep in mind that not all sources run benchmarks properly. Not all clear cache, remove background processes and ensure all testing conditions are the same for every single phone, every single time they run the benchmark.
That is why I give a bit more credibility to a site like Anandtech (which I'm familiar with) over other tech blogs that run a benchmark once and post it against another phone that somebody else sent in a screenshot for. In general, the latter just gives us a ball-park figure.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the specs after waiting since January for this phone. Not much has changed since it was originally announced. I'm not saying that it won't perform very well, but after waiting 8 months, I think the specs should have been better, especially when it's supposed to be a flagship device and other devices soon to be released have better specs. That said, some of the specs may have stayed the way they did because Honeycomb and ICS may not be able to take advantage of more powerful hardware.We all know the Pentile screen is there to use less power. The 1Ghz cpu probably is too. I have an upgrade the end of September, so I have a few weeks to decide. Motorola makes the best hardware, so I would have to be blown away by the Prime or anything else that's coming out soon.
The lapdock will probably be identical EXCEPT where the Atrix plugged into the dock. Unlikely the Bionic will fit that 'receiver dock/port' on the back of the Atrix version of the Lapdock.

I am an OG Droid owner and am looking to upgrade soon. The Bionic is at the top of my list so far, but I have a question. What processor does the Bionic have? I have seen it listed as the omap and also the Tegra, are these the same? I basically want to make sure this phone will be able to run Netflix. I have read the omap does and the Tegra does not, is this true? Can anyone verify that Netflix will or will not work with this phone?
Probably the main reason I want the Bionic is the Lapdock, but it will definitely be a no-go for me if they require a tethering fee, which it appears they will not, but we shall see.
Also, I don't want to start any kind of fight, but would anybody like to comment on some of the pluses and minuses of the Bionic vs the iPhone 5? I have not really kept up on all the new stuff as I have been quite happy with my OG Droid for the last couple of years. He is what I know so far...
Whenever I play with a friend's iPhone4 I am really impressed with the screen and also the smoothness of the OS, just butter smooth. I was not impressed with the iPhone GPS app though, the Droid seems much better. I also really like my tri-colored notification light, which apparantly the iPhone does not have, I wonder if the iPhone 5 will have one. In general I don't like Apple products and I refuse to use iTunes, but I have to admit that everytime I handle an iPhone I am impressed with how nice it is. So, any other big feature differences you can point out to keep me from being tempted to stray to the dark side?

First off, the Droid Bionic can run Netflix, yes. It has an OMAP4 CPU. Go check out bworly's thread, he posted a video earlier of him watching a movie on Netflix on the Bionic.
Umm first off if you're buying an iPhone 5 you have to use iOS, and when it comes down to it, Android (especially when we see Ice Cream Sandwich) is pretty superior in every way. The iPhone 4 is smooth because the hardware and software are built for eachother. From what I understand though, the Bionic runs buttery smooth on Android 2.3. The screen will be better on the iPhone 4, hands down, because the Bionic uses the Pentile display. But if you really look at it, like I have, you save battery using the Pentile display and it still looks really good anyways. From what I'm getting, Apple is luring you into their iPhone because it's nice. It's a nice phone, yes, but it will be missing features you'll really want. We have no confirmed specs on the iPhone 5, but I expect to not see LTE, maybe just a dual core CPU and an 8MP camera. Very few upgrades this time around I think.

Unfortunately the LTE is not an issue for me as I live in a fairly remote part of Northern California that probably won't see 4g for another two years. It will be nice when I go down to San Francisco though
Oh one last thing, this phone will NOT work overseas, correct? I thought I read that it has a sim card slot, but it also need GSM to work in Europe, right?Thanks again!

Lol. Well the lapdock is a bit expensive, somewhere between $200-300 I would think. I don't know yet. The phone's screen, from what others have said is very good and viewable, especially outside in direct sunlight and even when wearing polarized sunglasses. I'm getting LTE here in Santa Barbara next thursday, the 15th, so I'm happy about that. But in the case of California, they'll probably get 4G out to you sometime in the next few months, they really want to plaster California with 4G because there are so many people here.
The lapdock is $299 so unless you have any sort of corp discount expect that price. Also if you are looking for some specs check out the FAQ.
