Thoughts on the Note 10 and Note 10+ now that everything has been laid out?

There's some accessories super discounted...it's weird though...if you click different options the deep discounts diappearScreenshot_20190807-215049_Shop Samsung.jpeg

Buy as many items as you can cover with the $200 credit before they fix it? LMAO? I did do mine on my desktop, so maybe it's a phone app thing?

The $600 trade in plus another $50 just for reserving, so $650 off makes this a no brainer for me.

Overall, I was left underwhelmed. Probably the only thing that had my interest was the finger print sensor under the screen, but Samsung has been trying to launch that since, what...the S8?

It's all official now. What are your thoughts on the changes/improvements or lack of?
Still no dual-SIM for the 5G model. I suppose they'll reserve that for the S11 5G. I'll stick with the S10 5G, although the slow processor and resulting lag in the Exynos version is driving me nuts

Overall ... disappointed. I wanted the regular Note 10 for it's size (not because it's cheaper).

Like:
  • I like the boxy design and minimal bezels
  • Size is good for me, large enough for a note device but still manageable
  • New S-Pen features
  • Cameras (I always prefer the photos and videos Samsung phones take. The most consistent out of all the phones. Night mode could be better but at least the shots still look like night)
Dislike:
  • Reflective glossy finish on the back but that seems to be the trend
  • No headphone jack
  • USB-C -> 3.5 mm dongle not included? (conflicting reports on this one)
  • No IR blaster
  • Battery size is disappointing considering the headphone jack was removed
  • 1080p display (why? smaller S10 has 1440p, let us choose when to save battery and when to have hi-res!)
Individually, the negatives are not deal-breakers just irritating. But taken together for a $950 flagship phone, it's too much. Not including a USB-C to 3.5 mm dongle in the box, if that's true, is silly for the first phone to remove the 3.5 mm jack! Who uses the included headphones? From what I have seen most people use wireless headphones or their own quality 3.5 mm set (like me). How much will they charge for the dongle and will 3rd party ones be compatible?

I won't be getting it, at least not now.

I prefer normal size phones, i.e. max 150mm height, but the Note was the exception because the S-Pen would be very useful for me.

I'm going to wait for the Google Pixel 4 to see what that brings. I like what the OnePlus 7 Pro and Huawei P30 Pro bring but they are too large for me.

My options now:
  • Google Pixel 4
  • Samsung S10e
  • Samsung S10
  • LG G8
  • Keep my Xiaomi MI 5 for a while longer
  • Wait for the Note 10 to drop in price
S10e is my current pick. It's good value now and with the money saved I may get an iPad Mini.

600 cash back is for unlocked models. verizon us 300 for note 9. for mine its 360 cashback vs 150 due to crack screen. maybe costco will have the strong deal.

I'll admit, I'm a bit underwhelmed. BUT for $498.95, I couldn't pass it up. I still have my N8, which isn't much different than the N9 I'm trading. Too good of a deal. And that N10 is so sexy 😍
