Thoughts on the Note 10 and Note 10+ now that everything has been laid out?

Yep another thing Samsung dropped the ball on.

That's too bad. Rumor has it that the S11 will sport the 865. So what's the purpose of the 855+? Why not put it in Samsung's last flagship phone of the year and the 10th Note anniversary at that.

Are you serious?! Samsung removed all their stupid ads that made fun of  for the very same things they’re doing so obviously they feel stupid now for even making those ads. Perhaps they shouldn’t have been making fun of  if they were going to do the exact same thing. Don’t tell me they didn’t know at the time because the note 10 was definitely in development when they put out those ads.
Marketing is all about making sales. I expect companies to change their product and ploy from time to time even if it seems disingenuous.

I was only able to pre order the 512gb version of the note 10 plus in aura black. It would not let me select any other color variation in the 512gb version. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, same issue with the 512GB on AT&T. I think they're limiting the 512GB to the Black color only. Doesn't make sense to me. I was hoping to get the blue one, myself.

It's kind of funny to read peoples take on the Note series in general... I'll admit, I feel like ever since the Note7 issue, they switched to the S line to make their innovations.

With that said, it's funny to see especially the reviews say, "No, why did they take away the headphone Jack!?" and that's usually preceeded by or followed up with, the Note series used to be the innovating and always bring big changes, and now it doesnt feel that way.

Well, there's your big change... no headphone Jack on the flagship device. Device split into 2, for people that complained it was getting too big. Base model starting at 256GB.

Can't please everyone, all the time. 🤷*♂️

I think they are trying to curve back orders IMO. From the looks of it, most are going for the blue 256. Good sign the black 512 will be good to go

I'm an S Pen fan. 95 % of the time I'm using the phone it's in my hand. I'm very pleased with the new S Pen functionality. I do a lot of reading on my Note phones .I appreciate the efforts Samsung have put in to it to improve it. Samsung have made a lot of little changes compared to the Note 9. I expect I'll like the Note 10 Plus a lot.

I just got back from Sam's to see if they had the 10 on display. They had them, but they had those puppies locked down tight. I couldn't pick it off the display, but the display is definitely nice.

Went to an official Samsung store as well and played with it some time in the store. It was all wired down with locks and all, but I was able to pick it up to get a feel how insanely light it felt. Personally I think that’s a good thing, especially when I’m reading a book in bed.

The phone itself felt really steady in one hand and I didn’t had the feeling that it was too big. (+ version) I do however think that I made a wrong choice about the color, because the rainbow color glass version was indeed very VERY dirty of al the fingers touching the glass.

Yeah, when I saw the Arua Glow in person, I felt like it was a lot more dull in person. Could have been all the fingerprints, but it didnt look like it was as brite and vibrant as it does in all the pictures and videos online. And the Black also doesnt look as "flat" of a color in person, compared to the pictures online.

Thinking about the Note 10+. Still have OnePlus 7 Pro on my radar as well. Definitely want to upgrade before my vacation later this month lol.

I just bought the Oneplus 7 pro last month, It's been sitting in the box since i was waiting for the Note 10+. I'll be listing it on swappa or ebay. If you end up wantings the OP7P, let me know, Ill sell it to you .

But they included an Exynos 9825 which is new. And since only the US gets the Snapdragon, everyone else benefits from the new chip :P

And Samsung’s been the sole big Android manufacturer to keep the jack on their flagship phones for quite a while...so that in itself is an achievement. While they removed the jack they increased the battery size and included new features like PowerShare (the S Pen also takes up quite a bit of space). Apple just removed the jack because they could...the battery performance of the iPhone 7 remained mediocre.

They removed the jack on iPhone 7 to make place for the new taptic engine and it is still unbeaten. Nothing in the Android world comes close to it

Well said. I too am a huge S Pen fan. I've had every Note from 1 to 9 including Note 8 tab and Note 10.1 Tab. I just wish Samsung would have added more than gimmicks to keep them in the game. ROG has 120Hz refresh rate so AT LEAST give us 90Hz. Mate 30 Pro has 10x optical zoom so AT LEAST give us 5x and Xiaomi is coming up with 64 and 108 megapixel cameras. C'mon Samsung. Anyway, just like you I think I'll be happy with the 10+.

I expected more real life advancements too. Seems like the real fun will begin with S11 for the processor, cameras and refresh rate. S10 series had me anxious to see the N10. Now the N10 has me anxious to see S11. Each one offers a glimpse into the next. Never ending story.

Companies do that all the time...Samsung, Apple and Google have all made ads poking fun at the other. Honestly speaking, I’m pretty sure those ads were meant to be short-term..and in that sense achieved their purpose. No company ever runs old ads featuring past products to promote a new product (which isn’t even featured in the old ad)...it’s how marketing works.

Those ads were to promote sales for the Note 8/S9+ highlighting their advantages compared to the iPhone X...not as an advert for the Note 10. They stopped showing those ads making fun of Apple ages ago.

Again, those ads worked and achieved their purpose. Nobody who is seriously considering buying a Samsung phone is suddenly going to decide NOT to buy a Samsung phone on the basis of disliking their ads.

It’s a shame I have to point this out to you because companies (in this case Samsung) put a surprising amount of time/effort into these ads and predict their effects, public/media response and when/when not to show them...only for you to think they’re idiots, forget that they saw this coming and that the ads won’t negatively affect N10 sales.

I'm getting the Note 10+, upgrading from the Note 9. I love the way it feels in my hand, and I love the new "gimmicky" features, and the new camera/pen capabilities. Pair it with my Moment lenses, it will be a beast. I don't jump between brands nor between lines. I like the Note for the pen. Although my Note 9 is still slamming, I'm getting the 10+ because I can.

Samsung hasn't lost me yet. They are also getting my money for the Tab S6, and eventually the Watch Active 2.
I have a note 9, and will get the note 10+ as well, but I'm gonna do like I did last year and wait until the Christmas season discounts .

That was my plan, but I jumped on the pre-order bandwagon because of the incentives. $600 trade in for the N9 + $200 in free Samsung "cash". I can't get that for my N9. I have a N8 as a backup. All told, I'm walking away paying a little under $500 for the N10+ along with buds, a case, and a juice box; and I should have it hand in under 2 weeks. Do the holiday discounts measure up? Honest question, I always buy on release day.

I really don't think the holiday sales will do better than the preorder specials.

Ditto! Minus the Note 8 part. My backup is a Note 4
