Thunderbolt - Best Buy Availability/Pricing/Ordering Discussion

Because dual core doesn't confirm anything. Phone's can't even really use it without 2.4 out, which is still in dev for April. Then your looking at phones upgrading because no way the dual core's announced will ship with it.

We need a sticky thread with reasons why we want it regardless of dual core as well as no one has a clue on 4G pricing outside of rumors. Hi odds we find out pricing at MWC next week.

Well....thats best buy for you....

The emial I recived for response to my question was not only days late per your 24 hours but also did NOT awnser my question at all.
The Thuderbolt is first of all on Verizon not ATT
Second I asked about the release day as I have pre ordered it and my Local best buy is saying the 14th when Verizon is saying delay until the 24th

Hi,
I recently pre-ordered the HTC thunderbolt from my local bestbuy and was told the release date/ date to come and pick up the phone is 2/14. I have been hearing that Verizon had delayed the launch of the Thunderbolt until they don’t know. Will this effect my Pre-order at bestbuy and if so when would the new release day be for me to pick it up? My local store still is saying the 14th so I am confused at this point.

I hope you can shed some light on this for me.

Thank you very much,

Ed

Gotta love it

HDMI is so you can connect your device to a TV and watch, correct?

TB does not have this feature. It has something else in its place.

Can someone explain what it is? Thanks!

It's DLNA, which allows you do pretty much the same thing wirelessly as long as your TV (or whatever device you're viewing on) also supports DLNA.

you can by a miniusb hdmi connector
also the Tbolt has DLNA so you can stream to DLNA enabled dives/ buy a DLNA box that would be something like this
HTC Desire Z Media Link DLNA Adaptor DG H100 (incl HDMI Cable + EU plug) #99H10198-00 - eXpansys Inc

anyone feel free to correct me if im mistaken.

So if I get that adapter I can stream or play saved videos on my TB and connect it to my TV?

the one I posted No. I think that one is for another phone. Im sure one will come out for the tb

your TV might have dlna and you might not know it.

Why do people want this phone when dual core phones are coming in like 2 or 3 months?

Most of the things I plan on using my phone for won't really need dual core. I would take a single core processor with sense over a dual-core with motoblur anyday. Also, they most likely don't have a date in the ad because there hasn't been an official date yet.

No ThunderBolt for me... yet

$249.00 too much, this phone should sell for $199.00 or less. I'm waiting to see what the reviews, impressions are, and who else will have this phone within a few weeks of BB. At $249, not worth the investment... yet.

If you were to buy it at $199 would you purchase a micro SD card for it? If so, a 32 GB micro SD card runs at least $75.

It's included with the TB.

Yeah, yeah. Another date. But I'm looking at a screen shot that the source swears is the Thunderbolt. There's clearly a Feb. 14 in-stock date at Best Buy.

Unfortunately the source doesn't want me to show the pic just yet. :-/

Will try to persuade him/her otherwise.

Edit: Persuasion complete. So note the model number. But a second source confirms it's a placeholder for a Verizon phone, and you can pick it up at Best Buy on Feb. 14. It is NOT the iPhone. lol
