Thunderbolt vs Bionic

We've beat custom ROM's to death. Nobody has said anything about changing the splash screen and boot animation. That's what I enjoy... I've seen 1000's of DInc's and not one of them looks anything like mine. From splash to boot animation, to ROM, to kernel, to boot down animation, my phone is MINE. It's what I want on it, not what somebody else thinks I need.
You can change a splash screen on any device with root access. You just need to replace the bootanimation.zip file with one of your own.

I don't know what you base efficiency off of, but MIUI is pretty solid. Also, if I'm not mistaken, it was in fact MIUI who solved the mystery of the FM radio on the N1, not CM. This is part of why I say they are overrated, because alot people (not necessarily you) seem to think that all hacks begin and end with them. I don't need a history lesson as my first Android device was a G1. Anyway, don't mind me. I'm just the inquisitive type. I have a habit of not just doing things because everyone else has already done them.

All of this may be a moot point anyway, since it was recently brought to my attention that the encryption that Moto used for their current crop of Droids was a TI technology. Nvidiia, to my understanding, does not employ such technology. So who knows...
I base efficiency on the brevity of the code they use. There are no extra lines anywhere, which leads to the fastest possible execution.

I had an N1 and the FM radio was working before MIUI. It didn't have a great interface, but it was proved to work.

Yes, the e-Fuse was tied to the TI OMAP processors but Moto made it clear they intend to lock down their devices going forward. It's possible the Nvidia chipset will be more vulnerable than the TIs but I'd be surprised if Moto doesn't go the extra mile to adhere to their policy.

i could give two ****s about custom ROMs if BLUR wasnt a big pile of steaming turd. if they put SENSE level skin or stock android i think their sales would likely explode with the hardware they recently announced. i was thinking of picking the moto bionic up, but refuse after such idiocy. i will 100% be getting TBOLT on 1 year and wait for HTC dual core

Splash Screens and Boot animations are not one in the same... And show me a Droid X running a custom kernel.

You're exactly right, they are not the same. However, that mod is also possible on any phone, including Motorolas. There's even an app on the market that simplifies the process for you. As far the significance of a custom kernel, you'll have to scroll up to read my previous comments concerning those. The thread has been driven off topic enough as is, and I'll admit I'm partly responsible.

Whelp it seems like I'm back on this phone Motorola almost had me with their specs but. I like sense much more than blur and I'm not fond of this locked bootloader. Since Motorola has no problem locking us out of devices we own I won't have a problem overlooking their products. Its TB until HTC releases a dualcore phone

Well there ya have it. That was Motorola's corporate version of the middle finger, lol. and I stand corrected on the FM radio. I was wrong about that.
Then they appologise and fire the guy that said it LOL
The main thing is it comes down to Moto or HTC ,OSU vs. MICH, Ford vs. Chevy and where you stand.
As for me I for me I drive a Chevy truck with a bumper sticker that says F--- the Bucks, with my HTC droid eris bluethoothing Pandora to my stereo. ;)

Moto has never broken a promise before that I know of. And the PR person who was snotty should at least be written up.

I think Moto was just putting out the fire with that Facebook post. They'll quietly do nothing about the bootloader and business will go on as usual.

I also feel as if they were simply giving us lip service. But who knows they could develop a nexus device and say here is our phone with an open bootloader. I'm over it tb here is come

As far as specs go, Bionic wins hands down. I think if you are planning on gaming that you need the Bionic over the T-Bolt.

If you want to root, get custom roms easier, and have a better "phone experience" then you get the tBolt.
