Keeping but on the battery topic, battery life does seem on the short side. I've got the extended battery (2730 mAh or whatever it is) which makes me not worry about it so much but I took it from fully charged while laying around, reading webpages and looking at youtube videos (mostly videos) to about 65% indicated remaining in 4 hours with the screen set to the dimmest mode by the HTC widget (which is still pretty bright, it seems to me).
That's not at all horrible, doing the I'd you end up with 11-12 hours of continual surfing the net and watching youtube videos on 4G - but it still feels like it's draining pretty fast considering the gernade-sized battery stuck on the thing.
Though it might sound silly, I actually wouldn't mind a triple capacity battery with appropriate scaling in size over the double - that is, around 4200 mAh for around 18 hours of the same kinds of activities, I'll feel like I can take it to work and not worry about forgetting the charging cable.
Aside from that and the problem of global roaming, I love it and won't return it. The network is really properly fast (tapping around youtube videos with very little delay as it re-buffers is addictive) and even though 4G isn't everywhere yet for Verizon, 3G basically is and the 3G service isn't awful but is quite a step down from T-Mobile's HSPA+.
The other thing is that the phone feels fast even aside from the network. I don't notice or feel any of the delays that I noticed with my other android phones (tmo G2, Vibrant and MT4G) - such as the lag delay when dragging between screens I mentioned before in another thread (
YouTube - G2 (Android) vs iPhone 4 (iOS) ).
It'd be hard to bring this phone back after getting used to the plusses.
