To those that owned the V20 since launch, how is your phone holding up?

My phone has been feeling extra slow lately. I'm sure it must be something going on system wise as it wasn't this bad when I first got it. Perhaps it's just the dreaded "lagdroid"?

Other than that the screen has been sensitive to scratches but survived a few drops without issue. If you accidentally put it in a pocket with keys for just a moment the screen get messed up. I also get some screen burn but that often goes away. after a while.

I've had it since launch with no real issue. Screen is perfect with no retention or ghosting. Speed and battery life are great and haven't been a concern.

I do sometimes experience an odd issue where Bluetooth will disconnect during certain games causing the phone to lag for 3-5 seconds. I don't think this is a V20 issue but rather with Android or the games themselves.

No issues. Sometimes gets hot if I charge while using. To be expected. It doesn't overheat nor restart.

I was told the LG phones purposely slow down in performance while charging. Thank goodness for removable batteries.

Well I haven't had the V20 since release but my husband is using it now and for some reason his messages are slow to come in. Like I can text him but he wouldn't get the message for another hour or so. Didn't happen when I let him put his SIM in my S8+ so I'm assuming something is going on with the phone.

Try to delete old text massages. Also, go to mobile date and go to the messaging app and click on unrestricted data usage. Also, go to messages settings and set priority to high.

Both my wife and I have had ours since the device launched. She's had no problems whatsoever. I
had some freezing when using a custom theme. Once I stopped using that it's been running like a champ. The battery still holds up quite well. I don't see moving on anytime soon.

We own 4 V20's and only recently since the android security patch update have I had 2 of them overheating problems mine today as it hit 90F as its been abnormally cool before the entire month of August but very rainy and humid. My wife has had hers overheating for about 2 weeks. At this point only suspect a rogue app or two or 3 as there were a slew of google and other updates in last few days. I used perviously 2 facrory batteries as I work long shifts but ladt couple of weeks got a 10k mha battery by ZeroLemon, she has single factory battery. The other 2 users my middle son and dsughter in law have less apps and different use profiles.

I've had the phone since launch.

Performance has taken a hit and doing a factory reset only provides temporary relief.

Battery life is unsatisfactory for me. Having a second, fully charged battery is an absolute must.

The screen retention problem got worse over time, but it's actually really easy to ignore.

Durability of this phone is unbelievable. I've dropped it far too many times and I cringe every time, but no damage.

Had the phone since launch and my front facing camera stopped working three days ago. Factory reset did not fix it.

I can't wait to be rid of this phone.

My V20 is doing much better since last security patch. Not sure what was going on before that but I had some lag and issues starting. After the patch its back to being snappy and working great

You would be surprised on how easy it is to bog down Android. It can happen on IOS but it's much rarer and usually a restart corrects it.

Ive had mine for a few months now and the only issue is that when it gets warm it freezes up in the Texas heat and gets hot but a quick cool down will correct it in a bucket of ice water.

Just like a timex watch it takes a beating and keeps on ticking, lol just kidding on the dunk in ice water

Yeah.... You had us fooled

Im just two months in and already having pretty bad retention issues. I never use the phone at 100% mostly at 0% or 20%.

Mine has a few micro scratches on the screen and battery life has shortened. I could probably do a factory reset but I'm waiting for my Note 8 to arrive. I'm keeping the V20.

How's the phone holding up? Any issues so far? Did the phone slow down, crash randomly, battery performance dropped significantly, etc.? My phone feels pretty much brand new still. Haven't had any problems at all. I have 4 spare batteries that I cycle through evenly, so my phone gets very consistent battery life (plus the satisfaction of going from 15% to 100% immediately). Usually, with my Samsung phones, I'd experience battery performance drop and some software lags by now.

I have the phone since last December. Everything work as fine as new except the sound from my speaker is getting more & more distorted and my GPS signal is occasionally lost since purchase.

My V20 is still running smooth, no major issues. I just started getting some screen retention, a little ghosting but nothing major...

A factory reset is due, as I like to do one once a year. I've had this device since launch and other than some screen retention, I have no complaints...
love this device

Pixel 2 lost me when it removed the headphone jack. The V30 looks (according to leaks) like a juiced up G6. Although I'm hearing of a V30Plus? That might peak my interest. If The V30 doesn't get me excited, then my V20 will be in use for at least another year.

V30 doesn't have a removable battery, so I would hope the one provided is beefier than the removable ones in the V20. I really like everything about mine, which I purchased back in December, 2016. It's DACs and recording capabilities are wonderful. As long as I can still buy swappable batteries for my V20, it will be a keeper for quite a while.

Great, only issue is that status bar and home button bar, ghosting icons from time to time. Like a burn in, but intermittent, weird.

My V20 has been acting much better since I removed UC Browser. I never used the app but it was eating battery like crazy.

I've noticed it is not getting as hot or lagging either.

Started to finally see some image retention too, but only happen if I'm using it at very high brightness and on a static screen for a long time. Still rarely happens. Much better than AMOLED burn in, believe me.
