Today is the 18th. WHERE'S MY FROYO!!!

I don't care who is to blame for the delays.
HTC may care that I may or may not choose an HTC phone next time I upgrade.
It seems that Motorola is faster on getting updates out than HTC. This is a very large consideration on what my next phone will be.

Maybe HTC should add another crew person to the one or two they have now working on the Froyo code for the Dinc.
I bet Motorola has 4 or 5

Oh Yeah, Verizon can add a one full time person to the part time crew they have as well.

Maybe we just have different priorities, but I would glady wait an extra week or two for major updates that happen once or twice a year, if it means having a superior phone model to use.

I've played around with the Droid and the Droid X, and I have to say that I'd take my Incredible over either of them any day of the week. Froyo will be nice to have, but I can certainly stand waiting an extra week or two for it. The notion that a company should hire on another employee so that we can get our updates 2 weeks faster is absurd.

i got a update and now my phone eats cabbage instead of using a battery

Lucky. I got the stupid raddish update.

Holy Three Wolf Shirt Batman! People complain that they can't get cases for the 2150 and 3500 batteries.... How do you case a Cabbage or a Radish?

Does it change the soft touch plastic feel?

Is there a dock for it?

Can you get it in and out of your pocket easily?

These are the burning questions everyone is asking, but are afraid to ask!

;)

Also, does the crunchiness of the vegetables compliment or distract from the creamy goodness of the Froyo?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Motorola can add a few more people too lol .

... oh wait thet DX is now getting it lol :p I'm joking on that part it's not really

the Moto droid is pure vanilla. If we get froyo right after Droid does it means HTC has done a good job.

With that said, I need this!

Sorry, but I think I'll stay with HTC. The Sense UI is so much better than vanilla Android (and definitely better than Blur) that it is worth the wait.

I used to say the same thing until I actually started using a Vanilla Froyo ROM. I'll never go back to sense. (Though I do like the dialer better on Sense)

so the 18th date was based on an OS they were testing, it failed. as of right now there is no "next build" of froyo lined up to be tested at the 3rd and final phase of testing (where i'm most familiar with the process). so as of now there's no potential ETA for a release, since there's nothing being tested.

i can tell you that they were testing a froyo build, and they cancelled it for an updated version that included support for the SLCD devices that will be coming soon. but it failed, no word why. and that's where we're at so far...

I just installed vanilla Froyo and LauncherPro. Besides the HTC Widgets, what does Sense have to offer?

What's your source?

Some people like Sense, some like vanilla...doesn't matter why people like one over the other. Everyone's tastes is different, the beautiful thing is we have choices and that's great.

Could you please at least link the source of this information since you got it from an article?

i remember patches from crackberry. He seems pretty close to the process and was right on about the bb storm OTA releases. I can vouch for him...
