Was just talking to an old college buddy of mine with VZW Systems Analysts and his description to me was (as he is reading from his notes) Froyo OS 2.2 will roll out 10000 downloads at a time, this incremental rollout will prevent overload of channel and if early errors noted, better "damage control". Problem is, that next wave cannot begin until all 10000 are complete. That being said he told me it is not uncommon for the complete rollout to take greater than a week.
I know this is Dinc forum, but I was just looking at a coworkers Motorola Droid today since she got the 2.2 OTA and its the old build. Why is that? I hope we get the newer build. Anyone know whay this may be?
