Silly Verizon. They could just leave the file on there for us to upload and save them the trouble of having to update all these by themselves OTA.....

Hopefully someone read this before they updated and can pull the zip file.

Or hopefully they see on day that it's much more efficient to say, "Hey you will receive it to your phone by 9/2, or you can go to our download location and get it yourself!" But I supposed they need to 'control' the rollout so they can see if they messed up 10k phones before rolling it out to the remaining 300,000 phones!

JJu357 I was about to post the same thing..Verizon should give people an option to download the file or wait for the OTA. I'm sure they test the heck out of the new rom ...Bottom line they wouldn't roll it out if it wasn't ready !
Granted you always going have some kind of bug in it. I hope it's minimal..

so i don't understand why everyone is waiting for "someone" to post the update.zip file......there is a post on droid-life as well as a thread on xda that will get you the update and root.

It has been confirmed that the leaked RUU is official, and it's been stripped down and put out there already (2 days ago). If you are really worried about having to wipe you phone just get titanium backup and you'll be all set.

Anyway, this may seem like a silly question. When I'm home I turn of 3G and use only WiFi, will OTA updates get pushed if you are not on 3G? I hope so, it will be a more stable download if its on WiFi.

Unlike the OTA however, that will wipe your device.

VZW doesn't provide a download because they would be inundated with downloads they most likely could not handle if they did.

The OTA method is measured to handle the load.

Exactly if that was the ONLY THING I POSTED ABOUT. I added substance with the additional things I put in that thread. So yeah, guess you should think before replying it makes you look less puffy.
