Trade-In rejected! 😡

I know they said up to 14 days. It's just odd to me that it's taking so long because last time mine was approved the same day they got it.
I've never had same day, next day or two I have had. It's taken a week before. In my history as long as you get the received trade in email you are good, it's just a waiting game now. I get it though, it's a sigh of relief once you get the accepted email with their history of rejectings.

I'm still in limbo. For the record, I dropped off my phone at FedEx on Jan, 30. FedEx at some point said they were unable to deliver.

I contacted FedEx and they said nothing was in the package, and to file a claim. I contacted Samsung, and they said to wait for an email saying the trade-in had not been received. As of now, I haven't heard anything from Samsung on the trade-in and it's still pending.

I got a second email from Samsung support, reminding me to let them know when the trade-in wasn't received, and that if I don't respond, they will assume the matter is resolved. I haven't filed a claim with FedEx yet but I think I may have to.

The only reason I didn't file a claim with FedEx immediately is because the support rep from Samsung led me to believe it would be taken care of, once I received an email, from Samsung; saying they didn't get the device and would charge me. It's one of the strangest situations I've had with this process. It's safe to say, I won't be doing trad-ins anymore, and just sell the phones on my own. I'm glad it's worked out for most of you.

Sorry about this :(

So fedex went from unable to deliver, to there was nothing in the package? How do they know that? Or WHY do they know that?

And Samsung says wait, but if u don't do something we'll consider it handled?

What a clusterxxxx. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. It really sours the whole experience.

As long as you handed it to the carrier and have the tracking number it really should be between Samsung and said carrier with you being credited for a return.

Companies all have contracts with FedEx, UPS, USPS etc and a claim process since everyone knows a percentage of the packages will be lost, stolen, damaged or whatnot. This is all predetermined and it's paid out at the end of the year or every quarter. My husband is in the logistics industry and that's how it's often handled so he says ??

The tracking said unable to deliver. The rep I talked to from FedEx said that there was nothing in the package. Your question makes me think about it now and, it seems shady; because when I dropped it off they put it on the scale.

I emailed Samsung support today and they emailed me back right away, saying they're still working on it, so I have some hope. I have to think they're looking into it.

I've tried filing a claim with FedEx and they told me that the shipper has to do that, which this is a prepaid label from Samsung and they technically are the shipper. I was told they had to file the claim.

Feel bad for you, it's a terrible thing to go thru. I will add you to the tally so we can actually get the total to in the thousands.

The whole thing that stands out here is the "FedEx said nothing was in the package" they don't open packages even if they are light as air. So it was damaged and broke open in shipping, or someone opened it after the fact. If you dropped it off in store they wouldn't accept it open, so unless you dropped it in the pick up box open (which I doubt) why would it be open for them to see empty?

Our spidey senses are in sync. Somebody over there stole our good friend's phone. I hope the battery explodes. Not in their faces to hurt anyone tho! Just spontaneously combust somewhere.

Or can it be reported stolen and totally disabled? Just a paperweight. Not even wifi capable.

I tried to file a claim online, and a box popped up letting me know that the Shipper (Samsung) was responsible for the claim. At least that's how I understood the message. That's when I decided to email Samsung back

It's been several days past when they were supposed to receive the phone, and they're still working on it, so hopefully it will get resolved.

I got a text today from ATT saying my trade was approved and promo credit is being applied.

Heard anything yet?

I sent two phones into Verizon and received a message they received both on Feb 14th. Today, however, my wife's phone doesn't show up as received when I check it's trade in status on Verizon , even though UPS tracking shows that it was. My phone, on the hand, today was processed and Accepted. What gives? Hopefully, her phone will show up in a couple of days as accepted, also.

Sent from my SM-S928U using AC Forums mobile app

I had the tracking number from USPS when I handed it over to them and it showed a receive scan not once but a second time the next day. After those scans nothing but I told them it send my problem and their issue was with USPS so they credited me my account.

Apparently, I'm a victim. This is what they said they received. They said the video shows this item being unboxed. The Samsung rep said it was probably FedEx. So, at this point, I guess it's Grand Theft Galaxy!
Oh WOW
Like mentioned in the thread
Look at shipping weight should be around a pound, hope everything gets resolved quickly
