Transfer music between 2 Galaxy S5 NFC

I have been trying to transfer mp3 files via between my wife's S5 and mine and have had no success. There is no issue with pictures as they do transfer.

* NFC is "On"
* Andoid Bean is "On"
* S Beam is "ON"
Nearby Devices is "On"

Is there a certain app or screen that is required?

Try using "my files" app , it's pre-installed , just search through your apps and it should be there, It'll show you a breakdown of what type of files you have...just click on audio and select your music files to transfer and tap phones to start transfer process like you would do for photos, should work , let me know how it goes

I never tried to send an mp3 via NFC/ Sbeam/WiFi Direct until you mentioned not being able to. I noticed the manual doesn't include "music" in the description of what you can send. (see below) I think it has to do with copyright laws.


I turned on my old S3 and tried to send an mp3 filed from my S5. the NFC/Sbeam didnt' work . the WiFi Direct didn't recognize my s3 . the only way i was able to send was via BLUETOOTH.

Yes music does not work between 2 S5's for me, but in the commercial it clearly says they exchanged playlist which I cannot do!
