Trouble With Sleep of Death on EB01/SuperClean 2.x?

sod was around long before 5 lock screen.

I never had it until the 5 lock though. I don't know, I just want to use a Rom without worrying if my phone will just stare at me like I am an idiot. (no comment)

lol. if you are willing to try something.

in cwm go to mounts and storage, and format everything that doesnt say sd card. the do data and cache wipe. the flash sc 2.9.2. see what happens.

I've done just what you suggested and I'm still having SoD issues. It's nt all the time, and it's reduced since I installed the patch, but it's still happening for me I've even flashed some of the themes that have been reccomended.

I hate this too, because I REALLY like the SC Roms. I'm dealing with it for now, but if I can't figure out something, I'll flash back to EB01 and may try a VooDoo Kernal.

Try flashing over the 5 locks and see if that helps. Flash an AOSP lock or flash the google search button zip. That is remove the 5 locks. It has helped with my stock EB01 SOD issue.

Not sure what ya'll are talking about with the 5 Locks. I can find the EC10 Voodoo easily enough (I think). I've never gone VooDoo before. I know there is the thread with the "How to Voo Doo"...but in a nutshell, can I flash VooDoo with the SC 2.9.1 that I'm running now? If so, is it just a matter of flashing it through CWM like other things? I promise I will read up on it, but I wanted to get a general idea.

yes ...thats how I did it flashd the ec10voodoo w/ cwm ...it's all in Gunners how to, it's a short read, easy to follow

I just installed Superdark V3 to try and resolve the SOD issue.

Haven't had an issue yet, but I'll post tomorrow with a follow up after work.

I had no SOD issues with the rooted/debloated E01 and as soon as I installed any version of SC the SOD started right away.:'(

Well, I got so frustrated today with the thing dying on me 2 or 3 times (more than usual lately), so i went ahead and took the VooDoo dive. I'll let ya'll know how it goes Tomorrow I'll be working all day, so we'll see if the SoD issue is still around. (keeping fingers crossed)

Update. I've been running SC 2.9.2 with superdark V3.1 for about 20 hours and have not had one SOD issue.

I also turned off all GPS halfway through the day as someone said that might be the cause and still had no issue.

So if you are still having sleep of death issues (Even after trying superdark.) I would suggest going back to stock Froyo, wipe all cache/memory, then go back to SC 2.9.2 and grab the Superdark theme. (I can't confirm if another theme will work as this one resolved my issue.)

Ok, I went back to a previous Rom that I backed up and I am fine, until I install the 5 locks. So I just went back to my previous set up with the ec10 kernel. Running great now.

Well, I installed the VooDoo Kernal (EC10) last night and the install went incredibly easy (Thanks to all involved).

However this morning as i was leaving my house, the Sleep of Death struck again. It was fine all day until I got home! Then...again...the sleep of Death.

I'm wondering something. It SEEMS that the SoD happens when my phone is asleep and i go from a 3G area (not in range of one of my memorized WiFi sites) back to a Wifi area, usually home, or when I leave home (WiFi) out to 3G only.

Would any of you Gurus (and I DO mean that with the utmost respect) have any suggestions of something I could do to try and eliminate this altogther? It seems that this is the only time that it's happening..at least it SEEMS to.

Have you tried installing a theme? This had resolved several of our SOD issues.

Yep. I've done a couple of different themes. No difference. I'll try the SuperDark Theme tonight. It can't hurt.

Since SuperDark seems to work well for so many people, I wanted to try it, but Yellow, you mentioned you used SuperDark 3.1. I only see version 3 in the list in the forums list. Can someone give me a pointer to 3.1?

Try to go back to EB01 and install the EC10 Kernel. I gave up on the superclean. Maybe try to Run Blackhole ROM. I have not tried that yet (no time), but maybe you can give it a shot and see if that ROM works for you.

Curley (or anyone), with the EB01 Froyo ROM with EC10 kernel, what kind of battery results are ya'll getting? I'm FINALLY getting an entire day out of my phone battery and I'd have to go back. But this is about what I've come to, as these Sleep of Death issues make me crazy sometimes. But...I can't go back to having to replace my battery at noon either.
