Unable to save to sd card

Lately when i open a doc and try to conver to pdf it says that later versions of android 4.4 iirc do not allow saving onto a external disk and that I must save it onto the device itself first... then transfer it. Is there an easy way around this?

That's probably bad coding on the app. Yes, KitKat restricted some things when accessing the SD Card, but as long as the app you're using writes the file to a folder it created, then it should be able to transfer the document to an SD Card without issues. If it's trying, however, to write the file to a folder it didn't create, then yes, that's limited by the system unless you root and apply a patch.

Thats good news! looking forward to that. I have been wondering whats the use of the sd card if I have to remove it every time to store data on it.
