Unlimited Data is back

Sorry I wasn't clear on the details
Basically my wife and I are on two separate accounts. After speaking to verizon, only the first line will receive the discount not the second. If it wasn't for the upcoming device payment and the damn line access fee, we would have done the unlimited without hesitation. Keeping us separated allows both of us to have our own 5gb data plans, and get 15% off each on that plan. So in the end we both get more for less. If Verizon killed that 5gb for 55 plan when the 80 dollar unlimited hit that day, we would have been screwed in the long run as even with our old plan of 60, the DPP would have jacked that to about 100 all for 1 gb of data :(

Is there any clear language regarding mifi or tablets to a multi-line plan?

I can't seem to find it.

If a tablet line is added to a multi-line unlimited plan, does that line get 22GB before potential optimization or 10GB of LTE then throttled down to 3G speeds?

I added a line that had a jetpack and it is listed as unlimited. Not sure if they will let you get a new jetpack but there was no issue adding the one that was already on my account. I'm not real worried about the 22gb thing. We live in a relatively rural location about 40 minutes outside of DC. We don't have wired internet options. Our towers should never be crowded.
This plan is great for us. I had a 50 GB plan with 3 phones and a jetpack. This gives us about $75 and gives unlimited on each line.

I will be very interested to read how many complain of being throttled after 22gb. I have to wait 2 months anyway for my wife's contract to be over. No way I'm paying $193 instead of $173 price quoted by vzw. Ironically, their rep kept getting what I pay now wrong. She was saying I pay $138 now and it's more like $156

without taxes and fees?

did they have the right employee discount?

you know what? when I subtract the Asurion plans $21 and fees $12 she was about right at $138 and change. $173 vs $133. I could add mobile hotspot and buy my wife a text plan and come out even except I wouldn't be held to 10gb mobile hotspot. She doesn't want a text plan and I don't really need mobile hotspot so I guess I will just save the $40 a month. We have never gone over on minutes. The only reason to do it would he to dump the landline and then we still only come out even.

I have to remember to add $21 to the $173 new udp then add $12 more. Now it's $206! Yikes!

Updated.

Today (2/17) - Sprint updated theirs to include HD video (previously 480) and 10GB tethering (previous 5GB).

Wow.... I have been following this thread from the beginning. Crazy to see all 4 offer it up now.
I still have an old UDP. Real reluctant to give it up. Don't really even use 22gb. There's no reason for me to keep it just want to see how this all plays out.

Wonder if next week they start trying one up each other on data limits. That would be nice.

I think it will be interesting to see how the different offers handle throttling. I've read what each says but want to see real world results.

Yep :P. Sadly it is worse .. No tether still at all. All other carriers offer tether.
I switched from them to Verizon several months ago. Regret that I did not do it sooner. AT&T was horrible service for us and horrible customer service reps (at least those I dealt with).

IMO, give up the legacy UDP only if it'll save you money.

I'd like to see the carrier's start offering free phones to existing customers. That may entice me to switch.

So it costs $180 for 3 lines at AT&T and they won't credit the $40 for the forth line till you add it. FK you AT&T. I am switching to Verizon for sure now after 15 years on Saturday.

AT&T is way more expensive and they don't care about the customer obviously. Here is the breakdown.

AT&T

First line, $100.
Second line, $140
Third Line, $180,
Fourth Line, $220 till the $40 credit back in 2-3 months starts.
5th line, $220
Sixth Line, $260
No Tethering

Verizon:

First Line $80 + 20 line access minus autopay = $100
Second line, $120
Third Line, $140
Fourth Line, $160
5th line, $180
Sixth Line, $200
Tethering included

All carriers are offering the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Extra batteries and free fire extinguisher included with the new unlimited data bundle.

May want to add that for Sprint it requires you to be a new customer.

From their site "Reqs ebill and new account."

You're already a customer. They're already getting your money.
