Unlock and root AT&T moto x

My wife got the moto x lastly week and she wanted me to root and install a custom rom so she can do some personalization. Neither of us can find anything helpful or recent to unlock the boot loader. Is it possible? If so does anyone have any links or anything that still has developer support?

But the latest OTA blocks it.

For such a popular phone you would think this would be the easiest thing. And when she got it I didn't when think to check the forums because she said she didn't want me to fool with it lol guesses I'll find a decent launcher for her to mess with. Thanks guys

The devices that get root fast are the devices that actually need it. The Moto X runs so well with so little useless bloat root just isn't needed with Xpose letting you customize all you want.
