I remember that happening with the S22U. I got a $150 refund after calling Samsung and complaining. I think I'm gonna wait.
This got me thinking and looked back at my records. I traded in a Note 20 U for the S22U and got 600.00 at preorder. Shortly after the preorder, they were giving 850.00 for the Note 20 U on a tradein. So I too called and got refunded 250.00 on my Samsung financing. So I guess i will just wait until after the preorder and keep checking to see if trade in values go up. i could care less about accessories. The premium versions of youtube, spotify, sirius etc... do nothing for me as i have at one point been a premium subscriber to those and these offers are for new customers only.
I'm on the fence. On the 1 hand, we can order now, get the free memory upgrade, and call/complain to CS if/when trade-in values increase. CS is a crap shoot, though. Some got it, some didn't.
On the other hand, we can wait till the values increase, IF THEY DO, but we run the risk of losing out on the free memory upgrade.
Keeping my S22U isn't a hardship. But at this point, yearly "Note" upgrades and all the fun that comes with it here are a tradition!
Has anyone received this error during checkout? "Please ensure that you have completed the phone activation in your order." Tried a few different things and same error. Samsung customer service has no idea either.
Yes, I have been getting the same error on my phone and computer browser. I'm trying to upgrade a Verizon line. I don't know if that's the problem or what. Waiting on hold for support, since 3 chat support people couldn't do anything. Very annoying!
It's honestly easy for some to wait after pre orders because the rewards ans gifts aren't high like they use to be. You're not missing much except the memory upgrade by not pre ordering and even that will be offered again. This got me thinking and looked back at my records. I've always had issues trying to order the carrier version thru Samsung same thing happens. If I get the carrier version I usually just go through the carrier I just go through Samsung for the unlocked phonesSame issue here.
i have tried on two different PC and two different phones. same error. Also trying to upgrade a verizon line. any luck?![]()
Well to be fair you upgrade yearly a lot of times. Carrier trade INS aren't for the people like us that trade in yearly. If the trade in amounts stay like the S23 series I'll be going to 2 year upgrades. So the carrier high trade in amounts look better at 2 year credits. 3 year credits is to long for me, but most people keep their phones that long if not longer. Look at how many are talking about moving to the S23U from their note 20, S10, note 10, I even seen some trading their note 8 or S7+ in. For those people the carrier credits is a economical smart decision with the trade INS Samsung is offering right now.Just going from the S22 Ultra. I know that a lot of people are talking about the free memory upgrade, but I did see that free memory upgrade being thrown around again months after the initial release. Something to think about because I know they still do the memory upgrades later on.. as for the trade-ins, no way I'm going to go through my carrier. I ain't doing that. Credit me back deal .. right now it looks to me like that is what samsung and the carriers want them to do with the crappy trade and values..

I agree, we will probably see memory upgrades at a later date and possibly higher trade INS, specially if the sales drop off which I think will be the case.

I don't like to be tied down either. I did it for my wife as she does stick with the phone for a long time, so it works for her. At these trade in amounts I'll probably be going to 2 years.Oh yes I understand the thinking and I guess some people stay on a carrier for a long time so for them trading an older phone and getting let’s say $800 credits over the course of a few years on a new phone is a great deal.. I’m currently still with an iPhone 12 pro which is a long time for me, so that would be a good incentive for me to say when the iPhone 15 comes around but I’m one that I still don’t like those credits cause I don’t like to be tied down in case tomorrow I decide I don’t wanna stay loland as mentioned a few others hear some people stay on the lower plans they’re saving money already and can’t get the trade-in credits on the lower plans so they always push you to the higher plan..
I currently have the s20+. I've never ordered the Ultra models. Can anyone tell me what significant difference from my current phone to the Ultra would make it worth changing my order from the 23+ to the Ultra? My biggest concern is the size difference even though I remember going to the larger size with the + didn't take long to get used to. I'm on the fence.
If you can, check the phones out in a store to see if the size difference will make a difference. I had the base model for a few years and then went to the plus and had for a few years. Last year decided to try the Ultra and I wound up returning because it actually cramped my hands after holding for a bit. I don't know what the actual weight difference is but felt too hefty too. That is my opinion of course and many users here have no issues at all. I find the plus to be a nice middle ground.I currently have the s20+. I've never ordered the Ultra models. Camera is the main reason to go with the Ultras. And you get used to the size. After always using the smallest phones up to the S10, and using the Ultra since the S20U, now the smaller phones feel weird and awkward. Plus the larger screens are easier on the eyes if you do a lot of reading and video watching etc... If you don't care about the camera, it's probably better to stay with the plus...
