Update now!

So I read that captivate users are able to change the date on their phone to tomorrow and update now. I'm rooted with bloatware removed and it didn't work for me. My brother just got home, and he has stock, so I changed the date from automatic to 9/23, and updated his phone. Will get mine back to stock and upgrade now. Enjoy!!!

Did you move all of the apk's and what not back that you had removed before updating? Wondering if that's why mine failed to update.

It was DH12 before the update. My kernel is 2.6.29 (same as before the update).

tried three time...

i am rooted, de-bing, and remove bloatware....

on the 4th tried, still rooted, restore bing, restore bloatware from backup.

it worked..!!

Can someone who has done the update confirm if you can re-root and if so flash CWM. I am just going to wait until someone makes this an update.zip thats signed and can be flashed with CWM unless its really improving things. Only upgrade I really care about on thins one is the service notification. If it improves service or the radio I might have to flash back to stock to get it going.

I'm in meetings all day and won't be able to confirm the root procedure. Someone else will need to. None of your root apps will work.
