Upgrade Android Version 2.3.3 to 4.0 or higher on lg optimus s

So I've been searching on how update or upgrade the android version on my lg optimus s from 2.3.3 to something higher. Sadly I haven't found anything, is it possible to manually update the android version or maybe flash it? My phone is rooted and running a custom rom.

If you are on ZVJ, there are patch's that are easy to use and effective.
They're over here.
I can recommend Bean Whiz as well, I later downgraded to an AOKP because I was having issues with the camera, but it was really slick.
I can also recommend the normal SlimBean, it's a little sleaker on the memory usage.

Hi there, hope you don't mind an off-topic question : how did you manage to root your LG optimus S, assuming it's ZVJ? Did you downgrade or upgrade first? I am using an un-rooted optimus S and running into many limitations, and supposedly ZVJ is impossible to root. If you did root ZVJ successfully, please let me in on the secret!
