I ordered July 9 from the play store with the Staples rumors. Looks like I won't be part of this first wave. Oh well... I will sit here and dream of Jelly beans. Damn, I was hoping to have it for vacation next week, but that is my fault for not jumping on this.

Charges still pending on my debit card and no updates to my wallet account.

It doesn't say Pre Auth our anything like that? it is actually a deduction and you have less money in your account?

If it is just held the money will still be available to you to use.

I'm so excited about this! But will also add what I'm sure will be an unpopular view. Some folks keep mentioning a "delay" but best I can gather, there is no delay. I ordered on 6/29, and it gave me an estimate of at least 2 weeks (I believe 2-3 weeks). So, if I were to see the N7 this week, it would be because it was EARLY. In my estimation, they have until end of next week to get this thing shipped and still be "on time".

Like everyone, I'll be disappointed if the Google Play preorders get theirs after preorders from other sources. But, I'm attempting not to get worked up about any of this until Google is actually late (and they have 1.5 weeks before that's true) or someone actually has something in hand.

Trying not to get too anxious waiting, but you guys are making it hard

I agree. They gave a two to three week shipping estimate, no need to get all antsy until after next week if they don't start shipping till then.

Although I was hoping I'd have it in my hands for the weekend so I can head over to my local coffee shop to relax and read an e-book.

Not sure what it means but same thing here. No more pending charges but not posted in recent activity either. However judging from my available credit the charges seem to be somewhere.

I ordered on 7/3 but the original charges had disappeared from my credit card. Now, a pending transaction appeared on my card yesterday. Hoping it's a good sign, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I ordered on 6/28. The pending charge fell off days ago and I haven't seen anything reappear yet.

I am leaving town Sunday and had hoped to have it for the trip. We are just going to have to leave it alone for a bit, but as others have said this thread makes it hard to do.

Hmmm, you're right; mine is the same. The pending transaction for "Google -Devices" no longer shows in my pending transactions, but my available balance is still reduced by the exact amount.

For reference, my order was completed on July 7 through Google Play.

Sorry to bring this up. Yesterday (7/10) there was a review of the Nexus 7 in the Wall Street Journal with this quote:

"It's is available for pre-order now at Google's online store, play.google.com, and the company expects to start delivering it next week. Also next week, it will become available at a few physical retailers."

I think we should expect it earlier than that, otherwise i feel like there would have been no point in preordering haha. If what the live chat lady said to me is true, I'd take a guess that it'll be here Friday. If not, Monday for sure
