It was a fairly nice device, I actually preferred it over the Kindle Fire, or Nook Tablet. Build quality wise and even software wise. The probably was the app store was a hot mess, Angry Birds Space didn't become available until like a month later at a higher cost.

Unfortunately I didn't get an app out in time to get the free one....but as for the rest, i completely agree. That was such an underrated tablet, the UI was incredibly good and it felt so solid. Only reason I sold was because it was only good at email and internet...nothing else. Otherwise I would still have kept it

Yeah, I read that. No injunction has been granted yet, so it wouldn't stop them from shipping. Regardless, the problem is that Google isn't saying otherwise. They aren't saying anything, while other third party retailers are shipping. That's messed up no matter how you slice it.

As anxious and impatient as I am, I think my wife is even more so wanting me to get this Nexus 7. She's getting my 3rd gen iPad as soon as the N7 gets here. She's rocking a 1st gen iPad right now and the poor thing can't keep up with all games she's trying to play. I keep telling her starving kids in Ethiopia would LOVE an iPad 1 and to stop complaining. Plus I point out that she had a shot at my iPad 2 but she wanted a white one so my sister got the iPad 2. I'm telling ya, we're gonna go broke. I've created a tech-loving monster. When I met her she had a flip phone and no computer. Now she's got a Windows Phone (I know, I know but she wanted to be DIFFERENT) an iPod touch and her iPad and it's new phones every 6 months with 5 lines on our AT&T account. But it's SO FUN!

Google is being sued (as of yesterday I believe) and the court has been asked to place a preliminary injunction on distributing the Chrome mobile browser in the United States, which doesn't apply to over-seas. Don't know if that's the issue here... but ya never know until Google says otherwise.

The article states that they are suing Motorola and Samsung phones and tablets. They didn't say anything about Asus tablets. So hopefully it has nothing to do with the Nexus 7.

They're suing Google. Samsung and Motorola were just used as examples of companies using the Chrome mobile browser. In any case, it may not have any effect on the N7, as slow as the court systems are.

It used to be listed on the support.google.com Nexus 7 page, but it has been changed and no longer lists headphones.

I just left GameStop. The guy showed Me an email that said that the street date has been pushed back. Yesterday they told me I could come in today and buy. I'm guessing Google wants to get them out first so it doesn't cause problems with the ones that pre ordered first.

Does pre ordering early guarantee that you will get it first I am not so sure. I recall during with new mbp retina you could pre order day of wwdc but was like three week wait but you could also walk into best buy and get it that day.could be wrong my memory isn't the greatest

My impression is that the release date is the 19th, which is why they say it ships between the 17th and the 20th. Never know, though.

They will tell you that you can't cancel to you Play Store order, because it is being processed for shipping. But once the package arrives if you refuse it they will refund it in 14 days.

I would be a happy man if it shipped today so possibly I could receive mine by tomorrow. Monday at that latest. I start training for a job on Monday and it would make my breaks (and slow parts of the training awesome) if I had it by then.
