It looks like gamestop is giving em out tomorrow I also got a call from my local gamestop telling me I can pick it up tomorrow

sadly there are no head phones in The Nexus 7 I\O unboxing videos that I've seen. I hope this changes, It would be sad for my parents to pay 100 dollars towards the 16 gb device and have to pay another 100 to help me buy good headphones for my birthday. For 281.40 you should be able to get decent headphones with the device. I know this sounds like ing but everyone here would upset too.
I'm just a little on edge 'cause the won't acknowledge that my order might be coming. I hope we get it soon. I really need it for vacation. maybe sending jokes or videos will cheer me up.eh....headphones aren't really a dealbreaker for me.... Most of the time, the headphones you get with any device purchase are really crappy.
I dont think the lack of headphones in the box will be a loss. They wouldnt be $100 headphones if they were included, they be about $.50 worth of headphones. If you think you need $100 headphones, you are looking in the wrong box.

Funny I was talking to my brother who had pre-ordered the Amazon Fire way back when and he was given a specific day it was to ship and it shipped that day - I think that is what people expect or want. The whole 2 to 3 weeks is vague.
If Amazon can ship a boatload of Kindle Fire's on the assigned day I would hope that Google/Asus would be able to do the same.
Can you tell that I sold my A500 a week ago for this and have been jonesing for this puppy since then.

.My boss def noticed the increase in my phone usage. She decided all of a sudden that I needed to shred 18 file cabinets of old documents. Hope my tablet comes soon. I can't take this shredding without entertainment.

Everyone seems to be getting different answers. I called my local Gamestop and they said that they thought that they would be selling the device today but their computers are now saying that they have to hold off until word from Google. Google is really ruining themselves with these botched launches. How difficult is it to establish a firm release date?

Aren't you the same person that said they had a tracking number for there's and it turned out to be the case? Which one is it? I disagree. Amazon is IN the fulfillment business. That is what they do. Shipping product in mass quantity in totally new to Google. Also, Amazon runs a fulfillment company that does fulfillment for other companies. Google outsources their's to UPS Logistics. I can promise you, the Nexus you receive will have never been to a Google facility. It will be shipped in a shipping container on a ship, transported to Louisville KY where UPS does fulfillment, ride an airplane to your local UPS air hub, go to the local delivery center and then on a truck to your house.
Remember, Google is not in total control of this process like Amazon is. (BTW, I really like doing business with Amazon as well)

Not very, google could say (without a doubt) the release date is July 21st, and 100% hit it. However, remember its in Google's best interest to ship this device ASAP, and that means they will remain on the very edge of when everything in the supply chain is ready to go. I dont think you have any idea what is involved in shipping products half way around the world and to your doorstep. If it were just you, no big deal, but Im sure Google is dealing with a volume they have not previously dealt with.
sorry but the only way I can relax is if my brother will let me play dark meadows or dead trigger on his ipod. He is only nice to me when he want's to be so I'll probably have to pay him 2 dollars for a $1.00 app and besides I spilt his monster by accident and he say i owe him so I might as well pay him $7 dollars and download some apps while I'm at it. Sorry, I appolagise to everyone for being so edgy. Google just hasn't let me sleep for literally 4 days. I took my anger pills but I'm mad at Google, but I'm more mad at Apple and Nokia(if that's the Google Chrome mobile issue) for all the lawsuits trying to make android worse than Apple(worst customer service). I'm done ranting for now. I'm truly sorry for being an . I'll try to get back to being nice tomorrow. Hopefully Google will call and solve this so I can go to sleep.

It seems like very few companies are able to have totally successful, concrete launches, so I suppose I'm not so bothered by this soft launch. I'm just kind of disappointed that I won't have the tablet for my trip this weekend.
And I'm a little antsier than most because this is my first tablet.
