Rep: "soon haha. He when did you order?"

Me: "July 2nd"

Rep: "I can tell you we have move a lot of them to the shipping facilities, but they haven't shipped yet. We are looking at mid next week, Monday is the earliest anyone would get one."

Me: "So I should be getting it between Monday and Wednesday next week?"

Rep: "yes."

Me:" will a signature be required?"

Rep: "no, ups can leave them if they deem it safe."

I ordered the 16mb from Google Play yesterday morning. I have wanted a tablet for awhile, but held out for a pure Google release. The Play store shows "complete" on my order and info shows that I was billed, so hopefully it ships soon

It is on their website so it is shipped to your house, if that helps you. I personally am very excited for this my first tablet, but saving $40 between the two of them is worth potentially waiting another week.

Well that is good, but I have ordered the thing, and I will accept the one that arrives. Im not all the worried about saving the $40 at this time. Curious, do you need a Sams membership to buy on line there? I have a Costco membership.

"due to recent events" - the fact that everyone who pre-ordered on the google-play store had their menstrual cycles sync and have been PMSing for days that no one ... NO ONE better have their tablet before the play store folks or there will be MASSIVE amounts of bloodshed .. And tears. Lots of tears. :-*

I think the reports from all the people that have talked to Google pretty much shows that the answers are all over the place. Some say today, some say next week. In the end we dont really know anything until someone gets a real charge on their CC/Debit card or an email from Google with their shipment info. The rest of the info is pretty worthless.

Ok, some potential motion. An active senior member on XDA (700+ posts) has just stated that credit card transaction and email have been sent to him (he ordered from Play store on the 27th). This guy hasnt been spamming this thread and MAY have some credibility. Prepping screenshots.

ive come to accept it will get here. When i preorderd it said 2-3 weeks.. we are in the second week. we have a full week to go from the 2-3 week time. now it says 1-2 weeks.. either way. its still another week. I feel like all the stores are being pushed back on the street date. why i keep seeing gamestop, staples, sams, etc saying that they are pushed back. Google pre-orders will come first. I called yesterday. rep said they would ship but not all at once due to the number of orders they had and they couldnt send that many out in 1 day. i feel like i will get mine wednesday.. if they send them out in waves.. i live in a small town. so im sure they will hit the big cities first

Having worked for UPS for 7 years I can tell you that they can release orders up to 1am tonight and still get them anywhere in the US on Friday. That is why so many big online retailers are located in Louisville, KY. The planes don't leave until 2-3am for there destination. UPS logistics most likely has all of them at one central location in the Louisville Hub and is just waiting the OK to label slap and get them out the door. My order says 2-day air, so if they release today we won't see them until Monday. Unless Google has decided to upgrade to overnight, in which case we would get them Friday. (if the release before 1am tonight)

Don't believe anyone that says Adorama is actually already selling them. It's false. I just called them up and he immediately said, it's not available yet and we don't have a new release date set.
