Verizon announced the motorola xoom....how long until thunderbolt??

You all get that the Xoom Flash debacle has jack sh!t to do with VZW, right ? That's strictly between Moto's hardware, HoneyComb, and Adobe.

Everyone just loves to point the "wtf is wrong with you" finger at Big Red lately.
I get that verizon did not make the tablet, but why sell products that will piss off the uninformed? (Not us) Most people will think/expect flash out of the box. That just dealayed my purchase until Spring...

Wow.. LOL lot of people asking for TBolt on facebook. Now I am beginning to think Verizon is not ready for TBolt yet.

Edit: May be it's still iPhone factor but if we don't here anything by Thursday then it's probably Verizon issue.

Oh really? VZW couldn't have had Moto hold off on the device until Flash was ready? Yeah, they could have and Moto would have listened. 28% of Moto's profit last year was from VZW... they would have listened.

I was never referring to the Xoom release date... just that Flash not working on the device at launch, again, has nothing to do with VZW. It's a technical issue between Moto / HoneyComb / Adobe.

Sure, I suppose they could have delayed the release, but I am glad they didn't.

lol.. someone just posted really funny comment verizon facebook. haha..

"Dear Verizon Wireless, me and many of my friends are on the edge of getting Moto Atrix. If we don't here Thunderbolt date by tomorrow morning, we are going to buy Atrix and join AT&T. We are current vz customers. release the date or lose us as customers. your choice."

hahahahahaha its that serious for some people. iv made my iphone 3g last since nov an still waiting. some people dont even have phones

Tis is ridiculous. They're not even allowing Thunderbolt comments. They get deleted within a minute or two. What kind of broken PR is going on with them lately...

My G1 is a brick right now. (Their no point right now to spend money on it since the thunderbolt is coming soon. I will just have to wait)

I read in few threads people mention Verizon has not announced phones before until last minute or even not at all. Is their any truth behind this?

Only once have they done that with a popular android phone. That was the Droid 2. It was announced 2 days before release. All their other phones had at least a week before notice before release. With the Bolt being a flagship phone for their 4G network I cannot see them doing a soft release on the 24. And also consider all the recent problems the Bolt/LTE is having, I really doubt it'll be ready until 1st or 2nd week of March.

I would think or maybe hope with all the buzz negative or positive that Verizon would think to soft release on the 24th. Those I can see your point on Verizon wanting to release the phone right. At this point I just want the phone. How they advertise or release the TBOLT I could careless just give us the phone on the 24th.

A soft launch in LTE markets is entirely possible. In fact, it would make PERFECT sense if Verizon is concerned about network load.

Oh, and those 'problems' are all speculative. We don't know why Verizon has held it back.

BMX is a pretty reliable source.

Who know with the release dates. I'd hope for a soft launch, regardless all the Bolt people are basically going to be beta testers for phone LTE

It would seem illogical to buy prime-time advertising to raise awareness and then do a 'soft launch'.

Has anyone NOT in an LTE market seen one of those ads? (Its a legitimate question; all the comments I've read are from people that are covered by it) If they haven't, then its a pretty big indication they might be leaning towards a soft launch, then going nationwide.

I live outside Tucson, 120 MILES FROM PHOENIX and have seen the one Mississippi commercial plenty of times. No LTE here for about a year.
