With all these leaks and fcc filings it is getting closer. Hopefully preorders will start soon and we can finally get the nexus.

Yeah, but there's some pretty good evidence this time. I was never convinced of earlier dates like the 10th, but was hopeful I guess. The FCC filing being released along with the shipments of phones, cases, etc are all pointing towards a release really soon.

I agree, and I also think that it will be announced tomorrow with preorders starting then. But, I'm not so sure about a Friday release date.

I'll pre-order online as long as they can get it to me BEFORE the release date. With my BB Storm I had it something like 4 days before it came out. If they ship it to me and then UPS delivers, I'll get it at 6PM like I always get things from UPS. I do not want to wait for 4 hours near my living room window. I don't know why Verizon keeps hyping up stupid phones. I remember when people were saying the Storm was the "iPhone killer"... bleh.

I remember when the storm came out everyone wanted that phone and I was waiting in a verizon store for like 2 hours with my gf when she was waiting to upgrade to a bb curve and people were getting so mad when they sold out of the storm. That phone was a real POS.

Yeah I remember the Storm being hyped up a lot. Saw more commercials for it than I have for probably any other single phone. Then shortly after the release everyone was really mad.

Verizon CS is going to do an early upgrade for me. Anyone know if it's possible for me to pay for the phone over the phone and then pick it up at the store?

Lol, the Verizon Rep I was talking to on the phone almost told me the release date for the GN today. She didnt know, but she said she was going to re-check a document she read earlier in the day, and then she told me is that all it said was later this year.

Calling to order the Nexus from Verizon...The female Verizon employee (Kendra) on the phone said they took a training on the Nexus yesterday and said it was awesome and put me on hold. Came back on and said she was trying to pull up pricing for the device and the code. Then asked if I wanted it billed to my account, of course I said yes and then she put me back on hold.....................she came back and said she could not pull up the SKU, but kept looking. Said she got all of the training on it yesterday and that there should be more information for it. Asked if it would be okay if she called me back after she digs around some more. She called back and about 5 minutes later and apologized saying that it has not been released yet and she could not find a date for the release, but knows it is soon. Said she would call me back when it comes available and place the order for me.

I know I will probably know before she does and end up ordering the phone myself online, but she was very nice and gave some good info.

Anyone have any input on where the best place is to buy or what the best warranty/insurance you can get for the GNex?

I hate the insurion thru vzw. $7 a month or whatever it is plus a $150 deductible. Wish there was something that was more like apple care. Pay like $100 up front and you are covered for 2 years.

Was thinking about maybe BestBuy and get their warranty

Any insight would help

best buys is good. It covers accidents such as water and such. But i stick with Verizon. Nothing is easier than getting a new phone replaced from them.

Went to a VZW store today and was ready to pick up the Razr. The salesguy said 'don't!'. He claimed the Nexus should be out in about a week and mentioned they all got to play with one yesterday and were wowed.

How true his estimate on the release date is I don't know.
