Based on today's news...I guess my Verizon rep had a good estimate when I spoke to him on Sat...."Not before Dec 10", he said. At that point I just knew he was very close to being right.

You're basing on a twenty day old article from Droid Life? Last week Droid Life had an article that said the phone was coming out on Dec. 8th.

I'm going to attempt to keep this thread from being over-run by fantasy posts. Just the facts please.

All I'm saying is that is a very old report (20 days) and a lot has changed since then. It would be a huge surprise if the phone arrives this week.

Why until the 5th? That's a huge risk if you really want the Nexus.

By the tim the 5th comes, if theres no announcement, the 8th will seem unlikely. Hell if i have to wait until Dec. 21st, i may as well just wait the extra month for CM9 to come out. One thing ive thought about, i love the stock experince and what not. But i plan on rooting and loading CM9 regardless. So it really doesn't matter what phone i get. If Nexus releases soon, i'll get it, if not. I enjoy the rezound. Both are great phones. I don't want to make it sound like im whining like the other posters who go on and on about screw verizon and what not. I just am starting to care less and less. Still hope the Nexus launches soon.

You have till January 9th to return it per VZW's updated return policy for the Christmas Holiday. Dec 25th +14 days (to try it out) = Jan 9th, 2012

oh crap i forgot. She told me the 5th. Well when i get the phone. If i hear about a Nexus launch, i'll just call them to make sure. Thanks peeps. Now i see i def. have the ability to switch. Im just starting to wonder if i really need a nexus since i plan on rooting and loading cyanogen anyways. lol i like the Rezounds build better, but Nexus has better software.

It's a good phone(of course it has bugs, like all other phones) but i think it's better than the crap Razr. since i have till Jan to return it, guess i'll wait for the Nexus to launch. and get some reviews from you guys to decide if i should switch. Good luck Nexus peeps!!

Is it a new line or conract? Why not get it from Amazon for $0.01 and a $100 gift card? They pay you to buy the phone. You could even wait until November 27th, monday to do the purchase, if you think Galaxy Nexus might be released on Thursday for $0.01 and $100 gift card, also.
