It's called Verizon advertising has the Galaxy Nexus with a $199 price tag on contract. Not sure why people are acting like they've never seen advertising before. :-/

Assuming you have no other phone to activate if your phone does sell before the nexus arrives, wouldn't you lose your account and number?

i dont think so.
if you dont add a phone to your number, what does vzw care. That means your paying them $$ and not using any data or service. free money.

December Release Confirmed by Unofficial Nexus Site?

Not sure if this is owned by Google or Samsung, but if you go to:Coming in December - Samsung Galaxy Nexus and look at the tab in google chrome, it says "Coming in December -Samsung Galaxy Nexus". I was still hoping for a Nov. release, but does not look like its going to happen.

Although... how long was the "Galaxy Nexus" name circulating around the rumor mill? If it was 2 months or more, then I'd still say sketchy. Elsewise...

I don't think this site is by Samsung or Google. The real website for the Nexus is here:

google.com/nexus and the samsung site is on their website.

It also seems sketchy that it has an advertisement for the Nexus on the bottom.....

I mean, I believe it will launch in December, but this site is not legit, I don't think.

I guess I assumed this was an official page given the web address.....guess I should have look at the "NEXUS" logo at the bottom of the page, which does not match the official logo.

I don't think they know if you're on a SIM card. Could be wrong though
