So should I actually block out two hours on my calendar Friday morning??? I cannot wait until after work, although someone in the store supposedly said they would hold one for me.

Time will not move. And now I need to figure out how to get out of work at 9AM on Friday.

well... you could take the 9 year old approach and pull the fire alarm...lol, that will get you out of work for a bit... a bit longer than wanted if you get caught, so don't get caught...

I can tell you that we hold phones for people all the time for people especially on launch days. We tell them to be here on launch or they loose the hold. This is NOT a corporate store though so do not expect the same treatment anywere else.

Thats what I'm hoping. I'm traveling and I don't have any VZW stores near me. I don't really want to wait until Monday, but I might not have much choice.

i found a tax calculator for NYC and it came out to 326.61... been two years since i did this so i forget if there are any additional activation fees or any of that garbage that verizon tacks on.
