Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

I'm still rockin the OG as well, but with CM7. I'm looking to switch it up, which rom do you recommend?

right now, i'm running Steel Droid 8.0 by chevycam94. it's a 2.3.5 rom, and it's running very nice on my phone. Chevy No 1 just posted over at DF that he should be releasing SS 5.5 (also 2.3.5) by tomorrow, and i'll definitely give that a run, as 5.4 ran very well on my phone, as well. both of those are CM based.

my all time favorite rom is Project Elite. v6.5 is also 2.3.5 right now, but it's completely built from source, and not based off CM. unfortunately, for my refurb'd phone (i broke my first one in a drop, too), it hasn't run PE very well. but, on my first OG, it was lights out!

I was looking at the posted links by Eggo and I thought, Whats up with the Prime name and let me know if someone thought and said this. We all know that it will be dual core. Maybe that's the theme behind it ( not transformers) What if the specs about the Phone are all Prime #'s 2,3,5,7 (2) dual core (3) noise canceling mics (5) inch in size case Working on (7) if anything will be hours is the only thing I can come up with right now. Any thoughts ?

I think you're thinking too hard, to be honest...

Well it's not going to be the U.S. GS2, that's for sure.
They need another global iPhone killer. They're attacking the market carpet-bomb style.
Aug 29 = The First Strike
Sept 1 = The Heavy Guns

SIDENOTE: Ooo mine is post #666

It seems like bad business strategy to say "Here is our latest and greatest GSII" on the 25th and then one week later say "Here is the next big thing." You would miss out on alot of SGII sales.

If the Next Big Thing is on a single carrier though, i guess it might make sense....or if they are trying to beat HTC to be the first 720p ICS phone to market.

they wouldn't be trying to beat HTC to market with the first ICS phone because it's a given the Nexus will always be first to market with a new version of android (google probably told htc to wait till after the release of the Prime to release their ICS phone.)

I wish it comes to Verizon I miss stock Android and I like samsungs hardware plus their screens are the best

I take it you don't work in marketing...

I wouldnt hold my breath for an OCT launch... if the device exists and I cant say if it does or doesnt.. just know its more than likely not going to launch till Mid Nov...

I think it's coming to verizon. I think it will be released in November too

Well if it isn't Blake Manecks!

Nice to see you around. Have you heard anything about any of the other late Q3/Q4 Verizon devices? (Vigor, SGS2, etc)

So it seems most of the Nexus Prime news are always coupled with Verizon being a carrier. Many of you doubt this is happening, but maybe Google struck and real with Verizon to have it first and an exclusive period with the device till it reaches other carriers. One of the only things I could think of as to why Verizon would carry this device.

I hope it's VERIZON. I would like to know why Verizon didn't get the Nexus S like ATT, T-Mobile, & Sprint...

Yes, but all the Nexus Prime news has been complete rumors and hearsay up until the Korean article. I can complete understand the doubt.
