Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Wrong. Verizon is getting the Nexus first, then the other carriers will follow. There is no droid prime. It's made up.

Yea?

Soooo what is the second phone that kellex from DroidLife is refering too?

And according to these reports, there is a device called the Samsung Prime.

Did Samsung Confirm the Existence of the Nexus Prime in a Cease and Desist Letter? - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

Not trying to troll, but we really can't be sure of that. It seems there may be multiple devices coming (one with a physical keyboard) one of which could be a Droid branded "Prime." We know very little that is 100% guaranteed right now, and the droid prime being "made up" certainly isn't included in that group.

The phone with a keyboard may not even be a Nexus. It could be just a future ICS phone.

"But as he lays in the corner with a Beer and a boner the Panda said with a sigh...
Be it a Droid or Nexus branded new toy, with dual cores ?hd? screens, fancy new widgets and more....
The one with the keyboard is what I enjoy?

This could be describing a variety of different phones coming that's running ICS, not necessarily just the Nexus. Just a thought.

The Nexus Prime is the third Nexus as we can tell at this point. The Droid Prime is made up as ejaymd11 said. I'm not saying a second device doesnt exist, but the name is totally made up.

Wow you didn't pay much attention to what I said at all did you? Okay so based on what you said there is a device called the "Samsung Prime" what does that have to do with the existence of the "DROID Prime"? "We all share a similar opinion that the “DROID Prime” is a pretty unlikely name for the rumored Samsung device running Ice Cream Sandwich that is headed to Verizon" This was in the very article that you sent me by Kellex. Not sure what your point is at all. No credible source has ever called it a droid prime.

Wow, since you're so well informed, why don't you fill us in on everything else you know, lol

Right because you are so much more well informed than the rest of us? One un-credible source said "Droid Prime" and everyone has took off with it.

Name comes from the second and 3rd link. The samsung prime. The name definitely isn't made up

We both said the "Droid Prime" is made up. No one said anything about the Samsung Prime, or Nexus Prime being made up. Are you just not reading?

No, my point is neither are you. All we have is speculation. Also, the idea that the "Droid Prime" is a different phone than the next Nexus has Bering in many speculative articles for the past few weeks

So your saying the Droid Prime doesnt exist. I get it, i thought you were just being an ass saying the prime doesnt exist at all. lol Of course the names are subject to change, im just making guesses like you.

No hard feelings we all on the same page. I personally think that VZ will get the Nexus and I'll be their on launch day. I can't wait, it's driving me crazy!

I think the Droid branded device referred to by the poem is the Motorola Droid HD. Purely opinion, of course. Motorola has more Droid branded devices than any other manufacturer, and the "HD" will most likely be Droid branded as well.

In my opinion, that's what device was being referred to in the poem. "Be it a Droid"..... "HD screens".....

I'm probably wrong. I usually am :-/

Could be... there's certainly no word on a Samsung slider other than the Stratosphere.

It's amazing the amount of misinformation this phone. Read this nonsense article from Android and Me.

Here's how it starts:
The following are certain. Verizon will launch a version of Samsung’s Galaxy S II in Q4. The device will run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. It will sport the DROID branding.
Huh? It's possible, but it's far from certain.

As an aside, I was bored yesterday and emailed Samsung about the Prime. They emailed me back:

"Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate your interest in the Samsung Nexus Prime model."...before telling me they couldn't comment on any future release.

Fair to take this as confirmation that "Nexus Prime" will be the name of one of the devices?

You can also email them again and ask about the Samsung Ninja Guardian phone. You might get a similar answer.

You know... I forgot about the Vigor being named the "Droid" Incredible HD. That just blew my theory of the Moto HD being referred to in the poem. It's probably the Vigor. BMX did say he liked it a lot. Hmmm.... oh well. I quit theorizing. It makes my tiny brain hurt. I'll just wait for an official announcement.

So true. Doesn't any site verify anything at all nowadays? I know it's fun to post rumors, and I know sites are looking for traffic, but some are starting to lose credibility in my eyes recently. I agree that (maybe with the exception of iphone releases) I have not seen as much mis-information, guesses purported as fact, or other downright fiction posted by supposedly reputable sites about any single phone as with this one ...
