Nexus One was Google's first device. Verizon could say no.
With Android and Google now, Verizon cant tell them no.
Huh?

Put your money where your mouth is.
Don't take this as a challenge that the Prime isn't coming to Verizon and that it isn't coming soon. But Cellbrite doesn't always mean much...

Huh?
Also, I can't believe we went this long without seeing the Prime at all. And its only less than 2 weeks from unveiling. Crazy. Kind of glad though, it gives us a nice surprise.

I don't think they will. I'm just saying the Nexus One was originality slated for Verizon too (BMX even has one) which is why it was in the Cellbrite.Didn't the Droid Incredible replace the Nexus One? It's not likely that Samsung would go with another device at this stage after the whole situation with GS2.
What you are missing is that people are comparing apples to oranges. Nexus phones have their updates provided by Google. Samsung phones with touchwiz have updates come from Samsung but the carrier can get in the mix (read: delay). I also think we have been having a bit of trolling lately. It maybe on purpose or just stating opinions but it hasn't helped move the conversation forward. When the Nexus comes out, go to the store and see for yourself and make your own opinion.
With rumors of the iPhone5 being insanely thin at like 6.5mm teardrop up to 8mm, and having a 4.3" LG screen, the Nexus-Prime has it's work cut out for it design wise. If the Prime is a solid 8.5mm thick will that look bloated and brick size in comparison now ?
All the solid rumors on the iPhone5 keep saying it is very very thin, with a large screen.

My various thoughts:
I highly doubt the iPhone is going to have a 4.3" screen or even 4.0", but I honestly don't care.
I don't need super-thin either. Actually the Bionic feels excellent in terms of shape, feel, ergonomics and weight. If the Prime is anything like it, that would be fine by me.
I thought the Nexus One was coming to Verizon but was eventually cancelled. That's not the same thing as it being a completely off-base rumor that never materialized. Does anybody remember for sure?

Give people the benefit of doubt and realize Samsung phones are light because of thin cheapy plastic and it's easily felt when holding them. You actually have explained part of my confusion. If ota come.from google rather than samsung perhaps my concern about updates.
As for the build of samsung I think some people confuse lighter weight with cheaper build. I don't. I put the phone in a case anyway so a decently built phone is pretty safe. I love the samsung screens but purchased the tbolt for simultaneous speaking on phone and data.
As for visiting a store to see one I expect to win one in the contest here so I won't need to leave the couch!
I dislike super thin. My x is perfect for me. The contest of making the thinnest phone is silly to me. Thin phones are hard to hold.
